( PERSONALITY ) : Aislinn was raised in a pureblood family divided. Her parents were outcasts from their own families seeing as they didn't see any difference between those of pureblood and those who were mixed. She wasn't raised thinking she was above anyone else. Despite their separation from extended family, Aislinn had always been raised to have a strong sense of pride in her heritage. Her father had always told them stories about their celtic background. Because of this, one of the things she loves most in the world is not only astronomy but mythology. Being the eldest of four, Aislinn took her responsibilities seriously. She was always there to lend a helping hand to her parents, wrangle her siblings if need be, and always there as a shoulder to lean on or to give an encouraging word. In many ways, her family life is what shaped the woman she became.

Aislinn is very focused and goal oriented. As a teenager, whenever she set her sights on something, nothing could stop her from following through. When this attitude was coupled with her aggressive side, Aislinn formed a formidable opponent in quidditch--one of her great loves in life. She is easy to get along with, never having any trouble making friends within any social circle. However, she didn't like being in the spotlight all too much. She rather be support staff when the situation warranted it. Like any teenage girl, Aislinn had an impulsive, wild streak. Luckily for her parents, this didn't hit until she was an older teenager, but it did hit hard. Aislinn spent the first few years out of Hogwarts partying hard and not really pursuing any sort of life direction. She simply loves to have a good time, laugh, and smile. Her life drastically changed when she found out she was pregnant.

Because of the bad relationship with her daughter's father, Aislinn's romantic life soon became nonexistent. There are many times that she would love to cut loose and have the occasional one night stand, but personal responsibility pulls her back. Of course, she's only human, and slip ups do happen. Aislinn will not speak of her daughter's father, not even her own family knows the man's identity. It is a subject best left alone. She devotes her life to helping others, in the most recent circumstances, that is furthering the knowledge base of students at Hogwarts.

( HAIR ) : Brown, long, straight. Normally worn back in a loose bun, but sometimes down around her shoulders. On a normal basis, she has it grown out to the middle of her back.
( EYES ) : Brown, almond shaped with long lashes and intensely set.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Thin, angular face with a slightly pointed chin, longer features and high cheek bones. Aislinn's nose is long and thin.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Aislinn is thin. To say sporty would be an over statement. She is a petite structure standing at about 5 feet, 6inches. Her arms and legs are long and slender, and her stomach is flat. She has a slightly tanned, olive toned skin that only tans deeper in the summer months.
( ATTIRE ) : Loose fitting shirts/blouses mostly with some sort of professional looking slacks when wearing her school attire for work. On her off hours and holidays, you can easily catch Aislinn lounging in jeans and tank tops, or any shirt that shows off her shoulders. She is partial to sweatpants and shorts, however, and for exercise she is always in shorts and a t-shirt.

( HISTORY ) : Aislinn Rosaleen MacKenna was the firstborn of Eilin and Rowan MacKenna, a pureblood Irish couple cast out from the arms of their families for their beliefs. For five years she had her parents undivided attentions, yet she was ecstatic when they told her she was going to be a big sister. What didn't excite her was when they told her there would be two babies born at once. Though curious as any five year old might be at how this all worked--two babies at once-- she was none too thrilled with the idea of being double teamed by a pair of newbies. However, when the day arrived, she was awestruck at her two new baby sisters.

Aislinn took her role as big sister very seriously. Oftentimes getting up with her parents in the middle of the night when the babies would cry. More often than not, because she was woken up too and their first home wasn't nearly big enough to leave her undisturbed when her father got out of bed, let alone when two newborns shrilly cry out. Aislinn was there to translate baby gibberish to her parents, to announce when a diaper needed changing, to assist in feedings, and eventually to help teach them how to sit, stand, walk and talk. She took pride in helping her sisters, and it was a talent her parents were all too aware of.

When she was nine and her sisters four, Aislinn welcomed a baby brother into the mix. Having a boy in the family was a new adventure for everyone, but as always Aislinn was up to the task. She simply adored RJ, and since she was much older than the last time a newborn entered their home, she could do a lot more to help. Though, it still panged her heart knowing in just one short year she would have to say goodbye in order to go to Hogwarts. That year seemed to blow right on by and in what seemed like no time, Aislinn was boarding a train to school with a bunch of other terrified first years and waving goodbye to her parents and siblings. A feat almost impossible in and of itself since her parents had begun their quidditch supply chain. Students and parents alike were crowding them on the platform to hear about what new line they were coming out with next. This business would bode well for Aislinn and her popularity at Hogwarts among quidditch players.

Her first year proved to be amazing, although somewhat challenging. She was sorted into Gryffindor very nearly right away, and it felt as if she had instantly made friends with her housemates. She fell in love with the quidditch teams and made a goal to make the cut in the next year of schooling. When the summer came, she almost hated to say goodbye, but was excited to be with her family once again. It would be the summer after her first year of school which would prove most dramatic for Aislinn. While vacationing in Romania, her father decided to take her and her sisters to a dragon reserve to observe the mighty beasts. Her mother stayed at their lodging with her brother since he was still too young to go someplace potentially dangerous. They were not expecting one of the male dragons to be having such an aggressive day, and while on their tour a fiery blast came their way. Aislinn's father tried to shield all three of his daughters, but Maura had wriggled free of his hold and wanted to see the dragons better. Instinctively, Aislinn wrapped her body around her little sister's form to protect her as another fiery blast aimed at them. Her sister was spared, but Aislinn was very seriously burned.

Spending the rest of her summer in the burn ward of St. Mungo's, Aislinn knew her dreams of making quidditch team next year were going to be dashed. She was going to be lucky if her parents allowed her to return at all for her second year. Her mother absolutely refused to leave her bedside, even after she was mostly healed. However, Aislinn returned to school, and though she couldn't go out for quidditch, it turned out to be a very productive year. In her third year, Aislinn did make the quidditch team as Seeker. The rest of her schooling, Aislinn made friends, good grades, and even offered several intern positions at the ministry of magic upon her graduation.

However, her wild child phase had set in, and instead of taking any incredible opportunities, Aislinn moved out of her parents house and got a flat in London. To make some earnings, she ran her parents expansion shop in between partying. This lifestyle only lasted for a few years until she grew weary of the partying and drama. She ended up moving back home to her parents and helping run their business. When she was twenty-three, Aislinn's father died. It was a car accident and Aislinn was the other passenger in the car. She held her father's head in her lap and hand in her own when he took his last breath. The event caused her to spiral back into a life of partying and mindless drinking and sex. It wasn't too long before she found she was pregnant, and not too long after that she was abandoned by her unborn child's father.

Aislinn wasn't thrilled at first, in fact she was terrified of what her mother would think. However, she was met with a strange ease when she told her family. Her sisters were ecstatic and her brother was a teenage boy who really didn't care one way or another. However, he was surprisingly supportive. On October 21st, 1975, Teagan Raelin MacKenna entered the world. It was after her daughter's birth that Aislinn realized she needed to make something of herself. Despite the fact she always had a job when it came to her parents' business, she wanted to make something of herself on her own two feet. When the opening was published, she felt it was cosmic energy showing her reality. A year after her daughter was born, Aislinn applied for the position of Astronomy professor at Hogwarts. When she accepted the position, she knew that reality meant she would be away from her daughter for long periods of time. Her mother would keep her, as the castle was no place for such young children. Aislinn had no idea how long she would keep her position, but was too excited for the chance to teach her favorite subject and to show her daughter that anything was a possibility when it came to their future.
