( PERSONALITY ) :

Unlike most people his age, Amycus isn't especially loud-mouthed, or adventurous, or rebellious. On the contrary, Amycus is a very closed-off individual, preferring his time alone than in a crowd. Shy and soft-spoken, he isn't the kind to approach other people or try to make friends. In fact, he tends to regard other people with a certain amount of paranoia and apprehension. If someone talks to him or extends any kind of offer of friendship, he's absolutely certain that it's because the want something from him. He sees love and friendship as if it were a business transaction: something formal and affectionate, and usually through forceful means. He has Alecto to thank for that.


Because of his reclusive nature, Amycus resorts to fairly solitary activities for entertainment. For one, he's become an excellent artist over the years, specializing in sketching and realism. He enjoys reading, writing in his journal, and just about anything that give him a creative outlet. Consequently, Amycus is very clever and has an out-of-the-box way of approaching real-life situations. Though he's very perceptive and intelligent, he doesn't do very well in school. If he applied himself, he could probably do remarkably well. However, his head is always somewhere else.


One of Amycus' greatest faults is his spinelessness. When someone tells him what to do, he'll do it, and generally without question. He is a coward that won't stand up for what's right or what he believes in. He lives in constant fear of punishment or consequence. For all these oddities about him, he certainly seems a bit misplaced in Slytherin. In fact, he was sorted into Slytherin upon request, because his family had all been in Slytlherin and he felt obligated to be, as well. This further highlights his lack of of identity self-assurance. Amycus has an incredibly low self-esteem and has a fragmented view of himself.

Alecto's control over him throughout the years has had numerous affects on his psyche. For one, Amycus has little to no sexual attraction for anyone or anything. While he can entertain the notion of relationships that are strictly romantic in nature, Amycus is emotionally, mentally, and physically unwanting of sexual activity. This could change if he were to meet an understanding, emotionally supportive person, but at the moment, Amycus is completely indifferent to sex. His entanglements, as we'll call them, with Alecto are purely at her discretion. Secondly, Amycus is also quite morbid. He is naturally drawn to the darker things in life, especially the Dark Arts. He's fascinated by serial killers, things that are taboo, or not talked about in polite society. His interest in these subjects, however, is intensely harbored and not at all overt. It should be noted, as well, that while he has a morbid look on life, he is not sadistic in nature. In fact, he is actually quite emotional and compassionate.

( HAIR ) : Amycus doesn't put much maintenance into his hair, and it shows. It is generally worn long and shaggy. Unkept. His hair is naturally dark brown, thick, and tends to go its own way.
( EYES ) : Dark brown eyes
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Amycus has very angular features: high cheekbones, full, almost womanly lips, and defined jaw line. Thick eye brows. Strong chin.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : He is a tall, lanky individual, but could fill out more with age. In comparison to his male peers, he is generally taller than them.
( ATTIRE ) : Amycus' style is a pretty general one. Having grown up in squalor, Amycus is unused to the finery of his family's new-found wealth.

( HISTORY ) :

Amycus and Alecto Carrow were born in a dingy and unremarkable slum, raised in poverty and squalor. The Carrow family had been wealthy and well-to-do once, but in recent years became poor and impoverished at the hand of their father, Seymour Carrow's fantastic spending and gambling addiction. Once a prominent family in the wizarding hierarchy, the squandering of their wealth plunged them from notoriety to obscurity in no time. Seymour was the loathed member of the family, the one they all gave their disgruntled glares to. It was he, after all, that had gotten them into this mess. Eventually though, they all began to accept their unfortunate fates. Their mother, Rowena Carrow spent her time working as a maid for wealthy wizarding families while also struggling to raise two children and keeping her husband's vices under control.


The twins knew they couldn't rely on their ineffectual parents and learned they could only count on each other. Since their birth, Amycus and Alecto shared a strong bond with one another; as is the nature of twins. Eventually though, their relationship took a darker turn. A control-freak and general sociopath, Alecto began to foster a strange and twisted adoration for Amycus. Through the use of blackmail and sheer cleverness, Alecto forced him into a sexual relationship. He went along willingly at first, confused and unable to say no to her. As their relationship progressed though, he began to feel guilty and ashamed of himself. While he has not voiced his protests, he knows he cannot resist her for she would destroy him if he did so.


Last year, while Seymour was at his usual gambling club, the most miraculous thing transpired: he hit the jackpot. It took the entire Carrow family by surprise, to be sure. All of a sudden, they were living a lavish life again, moving their miniscule possessions into a grand manor in the English countryside. They've been welcomed back into the social scene of the upper class with open arms and are ready to finally begin their lives the way they were supposed to.
