Rabastan sat at the Slytherin table, the influx of parents was a little more than he could bear and there wasn't much more he could do. Actually he could have left, but he didn't want to leave Rodolphus to deal with their parents alone. That would have been a horrible idea. Rabastan was fully aware of what happened so many years ago that he couldn't let his mother near his older brother. An air of protectiveness came over him as he looked at all the parents filtering in. Abraxas was already playing his hand in the pureblood world, but Rabastan sat, looking forward not a sense of happiness upon his lips or cheeks.
His green eyes laid upon that wench of an unwanted woman, and their father who held her on his arm. Pure hatred coursed through his veins and he almost wanted to stand and leave, but he was stronger than that. If it wasn't for Rodolphus he wouldn't be here, and it if wasn't for the front they had to put on he would have been gone. Maybe he wouldn't come back to Hogwarts next year, it wasn't required, he could easily prove his worth on paper and his diligence in order to get a job. After all, being an unspeakable wasn't that much more different than doing research at the school, he assumed. Standing up as they approached he allowed his mother to take his seat and he eyed her with complete distaste. No words came from him and he kept his shoulders pulled back in a very broad, yet protective stance.
Everything about this weekend he hated, he disliked the very fact that his parents where intruding on their privacy, their lives. Within any second he knew that he was going to be pushed away and out of the entire family circle. Being prepared for his mother to dote on Rodolphus. If she even so much as lay a hand on his older brother he was prepared to break her wrist. The stony features of his face stayed focused on the pair as they made it to the table, his eyes unwavering and his lips pulled into a strict flat sneer. Very uncomfortable didn't even come close to how he felt.
Rab knew exactly how his brother felt when it came to arranged marriages. Since it was announced that he was betrothed to Alecto Carrow. This weekend would be the time he would tell them he wasn't going to follow through with their wishes as he had no interest in being tied down to a woman that he didn't want to have anything to do with. After all he hardly had any interactions with the older student and he really didn't want to follow through with anything. Sure the girl was good looking, but she was blonde and he hated blonde girls. Another thing he disliked was the fact that she wasn't Integra Echoes.
