( NICKNAMES ) : The only authorized nickname of Druella's is Mistress Black. Other nicknames include, but are not limited to: Queen Bitch, Ice Queen, MILF, and Dru. While most of them are flattering, the last is simply disgusting and makes Druella want to hex someone.

( RIDDIKULUS! ) : Druella's boggart would be becoming, and staying, bankrupt. Money and status means a lot to her, and so losing all of her family's wealth would just crush her.
( EXPECTO PATRONUM! ) : Marrying Cygnus would be Druella's best memory. It wasn't that she loved him; it was that she loved his family name.
( DEMENTOR'S KISS ) : Druella's worst memory was when she found out Cygnus had spent all of their family fortune on gambling and lost. Druella couldn't sleep for days.

( PERSONALITY ) : Druella's most distinguishable characteristic is her pride. Like most pure-bloods, Druella is very vain; there is no limit to her pride, especially considering her family and blood status. Anyone trying to smear the reputation of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black will find themselves with a wand aimed cruelly at their face. Druella can be downright ruthless at times, and she has a bit of a violent streak. Still, she tries to restrain her naturally hot temper; at the very least, she tries to restrain it physically. Druella lets her emotions run wild; thankfully, she is typically a respectful creature, so she doesn't have too many wounded egos lying in her wake. Actually, Druella may come off as cold and distant if one doesn't know her well. She has a reserved personality, but she becomes a completely different person around close friends and family.

Druella is a bit of an emotional wreck. She loves her family dearly, but Cygnus has lately been getting on her last nerves and she has been seeking solace from other men. Druella guards those affairs deeply; she would rather deny allegations and risk her life than admit to committing adultery. When she drinks too much, however, Druella flirts shamelessly with practically any male she comes into contact with. On a regular day, that would not be a problem, but Druella has been drinking more and more, and she has become less adept at controlling her emotions. Druella, like most people, gets lonely easily, and because she's so witty, Druella does need intelligent company every now and then. Because of that, she regularly hosts social events at her home; her charisma comes highly into play there. Other than being charismatic, Druella is also very graceful and refined; she knows how to carry herself.

As for her family? Druella holds high standards for every one of her daughters and nephews, and she becomes rather wicked when any one of her family members doesn't fulfill or exceed her expectations. Druella is a firm believer in blood purity, but she would never join the cause purely because Druella refuses to risk her life. Instead, she is an advocate for the Death Eaters and encourages her daughters to join. Druella obviously hates Muggleborns and Muggles with a passion. She thinks of them as the dirt on the sole of her shoes, and she isn't afraid of stepping on them whenever necessary. In fact, Druella isn't afraid of stepping on anyone, even her own family, in order to save her own skin. So much for loyalty, eh?

( HAIR ) : Druella's hair is dark brown in color and is very thick in consistency, although she manages to make it work by either casting a straightening spell or letting it dry naturally to form waves framing her face.
( EYES ) : Druella's eyes are dark and cat-like; they're one of her most alarming features, for within her eyes, you can really sense her emotions and character.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Mrs. Black really is a stunning woman with regal, aristocratic facial features. Her nose is perfectly straight, and her lips are full. Druella seems like she's constantly pouting, but that somehow adds to her magnetizing beauty.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Druella is a curvy, voluptuous woman. She isn't necessarily fat, but she's not skinny, either. Druella walks with a certain kind of grace and a sway to her hips; with her shoulders straight, Druella seems much taller than her 5'4" frame.
( ATTIRE ) : Nothing but the most expensive fabrics and most stylish dresses can be seen on the body of a certain Mrs. Black. She refuses to wear anything even slightly out of fashion; even with their financial situation, Druella believes she deserves nothing but the best.

It would be too much of a pain to list all the members of the Black and Rosier lines, so just assume Druella is related to every pureblood in existence. Ever.
( HISTORY ) : Druella Irene Rosier was born forty years ago to a young pureblood couple. At the time, the Rosier name was not nearly as influential as the name of the Blacks or the Malfoys, but the Rosiers were still wealthy and well-to-do. Druella was raised like a proper lady, and in order to ensure the purity of the family's bloodline, Druella was engaged to Cygnus Black III since the time she was five years old. She, of course, didn't really mind as a child; she didn't truly understand what a betrothal was until she went to Hogwarts.

Druella, of course, did get sorted into Slytherin house, as was to be expected. There, she found her place in the world. Druella did well academically, and she found herself part of the elite group of Slytherins that practically ruled the school. During her time at Hogwarts, Druella was the Slytherin Princess, the woman that everyone feared and worshiped. That, of course, was magnified as soon as married Cygnus Black the summer of her seventh year. They were the only married couple in the entire school.

After Hogwarts, Cygnus and Druella moved into the Black mansion; after several years, Druella gave birth to their first daughter, Bellatrix. Now, she tries not to admit it, but Druella has always thought of Bella as her favorite daughter, purely because she sees a lot of herself in the young woman. After Bellatrix was born, Druella gave birth to Andromeda and then Narcissa. She and Cygnus raised them like most purebloods: distant, yet keeping them occupied with the latest Wizarding gadgets.

When her children went off to Hogwarts, Druella became more active in the social scene, often hosting galas and going to elegant parties, sometimes without her husband. The last several years, they became almost cold to each other; their marriage was never one of love, but one of convenience, a fact that has been stretched recently. Granted, Druella never did anything immoral until several months ago, when Cygnus told her that he had spent all of their family fortune on gambling. Druella knew he liked gambling, but she had never considered it a serious thing until she realized their family's wealth was in jeopardy.

That was when Druella started seriously drinking. She was never an alcoholic, but the stress of being poor was too much to handle. She obviously spoke little about the topic and was very much dismayed when she opened September's issue of the Daily Prophet to find her husband's leering face and an article about their lack of money. From that point on, Druella refused to really speak to him, and she started seeking company in other men. While it is obvious the Blacks are not what they once were, Druella still acts like the proper pureblood lady; she can't have anyone smearing the Black reputation, not even her complete buffoon of a husband.
