From a thousand directions they seemed to be coming; each one looking to the next with a sense of wild excitement. Pops could be heard in the distant background, right outside the gates of Hogwarts as the parents of the students were beginning to arrive for what was to be the most exciting of weekends that had befallen the school. The heads of house stood outside the entrance to the grand school, welcoming each of the parents with smiles and directions to assemble themselves in accordance to their children’s houses.

“Gryffindors to the far right please!”

[/b] Professor McGonegall shouted loudly above the throngs of people that were coming through the gates. Her loud voice could be heard over the excited chatter of the adults and siblings that surrounded her.

“I’ll take all the Ravenclaws near the center right, please.”[/b] Septima Vector, the head of Ravenclaw, was far more soft spoken when it came to her students. However, the dutiful Ravenclaw parents all seemed to obey without needed to be asked again.

Professor Sprout was humming along to herself as she stared at all the parents that were in her line; the line that was slightly left of center. They all looked so excited to see their children, such looks of happiness all over their faces. She could only imagine what a wonderful treat that they were in for.

Riddle simply waved his hands through the air, causing an eerie silence to fall amongst the crowd and the Slytherin parents all swarmed to the left. It was as if they had been called by some unseen force.

Professor Tom Riddle stepped forward, immediately calming the rest of the crowd with a simple wave of his hands through the air, ”Welcome welcome to Familia Visitandum. We are pleased to have you all here for these few short days. As deputy headmaster, it is my duty to inform you that you will spend one weekend and one weekend only with your children here at Hogwarts.”[/b] Riddle moved to the center of the steps so that he could be seen by the four, very distinct groups of parents, ”This afternoon you will be able to mingle with your students. Perhaps taken them to Hogsmeade for the evening - where all of you will be provided with accommodations and lodging. Tomorrow you will be expected to return to the castle at seven PM in order to attend the Fall Formal and the announcement of the champions. Now if you will all follow me -”[/b] Riddle flicked his wrist and the doors to Hogwarts opened, ”We will meet your students in the Great Hall where they are...anxiously awaiting your presence.”[/b]

The parents immediately perked up as they began to trickle through the doors to their children’s home away from home. Each one was overcome with the beauty of Hogwarts. And, as they reached the Great Hall, they could hear the sounds of their children from within the doors. Almost immediately, those great doors leading to the dining hall opened and laughter, joy, and tears abounded as parents were reunited with their darling sons and daughters.

Vincent Mortelle Father of Vicente Joram Mortelle V; Portrayed by Vel!

Even though Vincent was now teaching at the school part-time he wanted to go through what all the student's parents had to go through. Listening to Riddle as he commanded with an iron tongue a huge ass grin was spread across his lips. Muttering to himself, Vincent saw a lovely lady with black hair and a small splash of blonde in a curl at the top of her head. She looked like she was out of the forties. Standing in the Hufflepuff line Vincent held his hands up in glee. If he were a first year and was sorted into any house under the Hogwarts roof it would have been Hufflepuff, hands down, no questions asked. Sadly his father demanded he go to the school in Bulgaria, because it was a toss up between the ninny little Brits or the nancy little Frenchies. And there was no way Vincent would have survived if he went to France, well he would have but it was an all girls school.

Looking forward in the line he rose his nose like he was an uppity pureblood supremacist. He wasn't even close, even though his father was it never leaked into Vincent's mind, but he looked over at the Slytherin line following the scent that kept in his nostrils. His face scrunched up as he looked over and saw the one person who could scare him straight. Looking around at all the people he jumped up and pointed out at Vivian. "MAMMA!" Vincent's forearm was rigid and straight. Pearly whites glistening in the sunlight that was out at the school surprisingly. "Why are you here and who the hell sent you?! Is it the organization that sent you to take me away? And did you pack me a new pair of shoes?" Standing up straight and puffing out his chest, Vincent did all he could to hold in a laugh.

Abraxas Malfoy Father of Lucius Malfoy; Portrayed by Vel!

If there was one thing Abraxas Malfoy had gathered, it was the fact that the Parent's Weekend at Hogwarts was pure rubbish. It was his son's seventh year at Hogwarts and by Merlin he hoped that there was some change within that boy. Blonde hair sitting atop his skull combed neatly and parted with a small bit of flare. The Malfoy men were notorious for taking pride in their appearance. Holding his head high he crossed his arms, acknowledging Riddle's presence. Lilith was unable to make it to this event and Abraxas decided that he was going to make an appearance. After all, what good was a Malfoy if the let their fellow purebloods down? Jaw taut with tension and yearning he waited. They were lead up to the school by the teachers themselves. Abraxas was last in line, making his son suffer from the indignant father figure he was. He prided himself on the fear he could instill in the very hearts of those below him, and it wasn't the first time he felt this way. Steel grey eyes darted about taking note of who was here, who he didn't know, and those that he recognized from the halls at the ministry.

With a deep breath Abraxas finally made it to the great hall where all the students were awaiting the arrival of their family members. There were tears that came mostly from the red, blue and yellow tables, but the green table there was hardly a smile. With that a grin reached his lips, proud of what fine students the Slytherin house has produced, even he came from such a noble placement. There he was, Lucius Malfoy, sitting next to the Lestrange boys. Turning from his son, Abraxas' hand met with that of Ichabod Echoes. "Ichabod, pleasure to see that you decided to come to this travesty of an event." The words slipped from his tongue like quicksilver, pale eyelashes flickering as he blinked. Long over coat covering most of his upper body, and his wand-cane resting within the palm of his left hand. "We will meet again throughout the evening I'm certain, as for now I suppose it is only courteous to pay the utmost attention to my son." With a sigh he turned from Ichabod, the sound of his cane tapping on the floor before it came down on the table in between Rodolphus and Lucius. "Stand. Or have you forgotten your manners, child?"

Hali Isis Sterling Mother of Issac Sterling; Portrayed by Vel!

Nervous didn't come close to explaining how Mrs. Sterling felt. Being a muggle with a wizard as a son had it's ups and downs and the woman did the best she could to understand some of the things her son would tell her, but that wasn't all. Sadly, Issac's father was busy with work back in the Netherlands that he couldn't make it, but Hali wouldn't pass up the chance. Sure clients would be upset that their psychiatrist wasn't available for a weekend. She needed the vacation more than she thought and to be free from all the whining humans with their issues. Hands all clammy as she tugged her jacket across her shoulders. Most of the people here were dressed to the nines, and Hali stuck out like a sore thumb. With her red and black sheath dress, skirt lightly brushing against the center of her knees, a slit running up mid thigh, and the gentleman in front of her with a huge cloak, yea she stuck out. Surprised she even knew what the hell it was, the cloak and all, but Issac had mentioned a few things that would have been different from her world.

The names of food, she took the liberty of learning the names and perfecting them. Now she was able to speak as if she belonged in this world, for the most part. Staring up at the school she never set foot within the walls, hell she never saw the school, only heard of it from Issac and it was more than she ever expected it to be. Swallowing hard she was ushered into the doors where her heart stood in her chest. There were so many children she had no idea what to do with herself. Their luggage was already taken care of so she didn't have to tote around the large cheetah print bag with her unmentionables, and by the looks of the guy in front of her she was glad or they may have gotten stolen.

There he was, her only child who happened to be blessed with this awesome gift of magic. She heard stories about the wizarding world and read the daily prophet on occasion to keep up with what was happening, even if it didn't matter in her daily life. Hali liked to know things, all the things, why do you think she studied the brain and how it works? Sure she was still paying off her student loans for her doctorate, but hell it was all so worth it now that she had a stable client base. Issac was sitting at a table, his head hung low. She hadn't told him that she was coming and wanted it to be a surprise. So she let her hand rest upon his shoulder a smile spreading like wild fire across her lips. "Hey there kiddo." Her voice was soft, almost smooth like silk, if there was something Hali knew she was good at, it happened to be being a mother.

Roderick Giovanni Father of Adeline and Oliver Giovanni; Portrayed by Paul!

Roderick Giovanni landed in front of Hogwarts with the pop that accompanied apparition. Without pause by the fact he had just appeared from thin air he took a cautionary look around. It would do well to be cautious. Many years had spanned since he was at this school, and many lives he had changed. His job was to blame for shaping so many lives. The fact that some children wouldn't see their parents today because of his actions was obvious to Rod. Revenge was something that could stem a lifetime of hatred and anger. Something as little as one moment could turn revenge from a plan, to an action and eventually a victory.

he scanned the crowd of anxious parents, some dazzled by castle and its surroundings, some eager to get in bored with the hum drum of magical life. The voice that drifted over the crowd was one he knew. Riddle was someone Roderick had kept tabs on, and his employment at the school had been a closely watched affair as far as he was concerned. The directions were clear, get in line, Roderick however caught the sound of another voice cutting across the sea of heads and hats. Vincent and Vivian Mortelle were here. Of course Vincent, but to see Vivian again was something else entirely. Rod moved to the Ravenclaw line. A chat with Vivian would be nice, but it could happen later. He was here for his children, and so they came first. As the crowd entered the main hall, it seemed to filter across tables and benches like a river over rocks. Crowds made Rod nervous, an attack could come from anywhere and so his guard was up.

An elderly woman stood by the door, ringing her handkerchief. Rod's brain worked in overtime. She was old, but not decrepit, her hands were bare but something was missing. A line of skin on her finger was worn, lighter than the rest. A ring, worn for years had been removed. Possibly a separation? No, she was nervous not flustered or scowling. No, the ring had been worn for many years. Perhaps a death n the family? She was elderly, it would only make sense. No, the lack of sadness in her eyes was evident. She was looking hopeful, scanning the faces of the crowd. Rod took in the rest of her, putting the image together. Her necklace was large, sporting rubies and gold. She was a gryffindor, and judging by her gaze, she was looking for one as well. the necklace however, was freshly polished, her dress pressed and clean. Earrings matched the necklace and there was a glow about her that seemed all to formal for the occasion. Formality was one thing, Roderick dressing in a suit almost every day of his life, no this was a spectacle. The picture came together as soon as it had unfolded. Inwardly, Roderick marveled at the woman. The loss of her husband must have been hard on her. She had refused to take off the ring, thus preventing her, not only by a glance at her hand but mentally from trying to find someone new. He guessed it had to be years since she had tried to find a man, a companion to endure her days with in peace. Today however, she would fulfill her promise, or perhaps her end of a deal. A deal that may involve the very child she came to see. Whatever the cause, she was out now and on display for the world to see.

As faces past, Roderick turned. He had a habit of breaking everything down around him. Analyzing everything he saw down to the smallest detail. As handy as it was, today was not that day. The familiar blue of ravenclaw guided him to the long table. Scanning the faces he found her. "Quite the affair Adeline." He couldn't help but smile at his daughter. It had been a while since he saw her, and his job kept him from writing often.

VIVIAN MORTELLE Mother of VINCENT MORTELLE; and Grandmother of CHLOE and JORAM MORTELLE Portrayed by KARA

It was bloody cold in Scotland; Why couldn't Hogwarts be in Italy? Where it was warm. Oh well, it wasn't like she had to live here or anything. Lucky enough, Vicente was too busy to show up at something as trivial as this. Even if it was to see Chloe. Vicente would have just sulked and judged and stood there being an overall stick in the mud, and really what fun was that? Instead she brought Antoni along with her. The "butler". This vacation was going to be awesome. When they'd arrived, Vivian took the school in. It looked just as big as she remembered. She was a Hufflepuff alumni and had spent so many good times in these halls. Though, that was so very very long ago, back when the school was just opening it's doors. Now it was old and tired, yet still standing firm. Sort of like her.

Looking back at Antoni, Vivian grinned and looped her arm in his. "I know all the good hiding spots." Her voice was low but he would hear it. When they walked into the crowd, mingling in with the other excited parents, the familiar scent of wood polish hit her nose and she turned her head to see Roderick Giovanni coming into the buzzing of the great hall. Her eyes watched as he headed for the Ravenclaw table and she smiled. He'd grown up. And so very well too. Antoni and herself were heading for the Slytherin table. But just as they arrived, a familiar voice rang in her head.

Well obviously he was here, so it was only a matter of time before he sniffed her out. "Boy child!!" She pointed back at him and grinned. "Not this time kiddo. You got lucky!" She laughed and found Chloe, pulling her into a tight hug. Mama Mortelle loved her family and was elated just to be there with them again.
