( PERSONALITY ) : In her younger days Lisa was every bit the kind of girl that people wanted to be around. She was bright and adventurous. Never backing down may have made her seem like the brave type, but really this was just her natural tenacity and 'stubborn as a mule' complex. When Lisa has set her mind to do something she has seen it through to the end and is by no means a quitter. As a student and young adult these were bold attributes to have, now as a mother of 6 and counting, these have become survival skills.

Aside from her "gung ho" attitude, Lisa is also very compassionate. There are a lot of people in her life that are very important to her and she will stop at nothing to keep them safe and make sure they know she loves them with every fiber of her being, That being said, Lisa is also not one to play favorites and all of her children are treated equally and fairly. The best is all this mother could possibly ask for them.

There is also a very forgiving side to this gentle hearted woman. Being a mother has taught her to be patient and kind and to give people a second chance if in her heart she believes they deserve one. Or three in some people's cases. Lord know's her husband has had to rely on that in their past. However, she still loves him very very dearly and does not judge him for his misdoings. She dotes upon him and is in every way a very loving wife to him. Obviously. How else would they have so many kids!?

( HAIR ) : The only time Lisa has her shoulder length blond hair actually done, is if she's going into work. And even then it relies heavily on if no one bothered her in the morning. It used to be much more difficult when only a few of the kids were in school, but as there is only one still too little yet, Lisa has much more time for her hair. If she can bother to be in front of a mirror that long.
( EYES ) : Lisa has large-ish china blue eyes. They are typically soft and sparkly but they certainly hold a level of stern glares that could petrify a man. Also she likes to tell her children that she has eyes in the back of her head.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Her face is long and delicate with a nicely defined jaw line and soft sloping nose and cheek bones. Every thing seems to flow together smoothly under her pale clear skin all the way to her strong yet feminine shoulders and collar bones.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : She's a mother so obviously she's not as thin as a rail. Especially not now at 5 1/2 months pregnant this November the 17th. But normally she stands at about 5'6" and is around 135lbs. Athletically built.
( ATTIRE ) : What ever fits at this point. And basically what ever doesn't look like a kid got a hold of it. As a mom she doesn't go around wearing skin tight clothes or anything too revealing anymore. (heaven forbid she embarrass one of them!) but she does dress elegant when need be, and casual if it suits the occasion. Her wardrobe is primarily based on functionality.

( HISTORY ) : Lisa grew up and was raised just like every other happy child. Except with magic. It was astonishing at first, but quickly became familiar with it. The Birchberry children lived happy comfortably lives and grew up to be fine Hogwarts students. The days of all four of them taking up space in the Ravenclaw tower were absolute joy. In honesty they all got along just fine and made plenty of friends.

One boy in particular, named Martin Grant. A Ravenclaw boy around Lisa's age. Very attractive, wicked dueler. That's what caught her eye at first. When they started to get to know one another the attraction was almost instant, and in their 5th year they began to date. It was a sweet sort of puppy love that fizzled out after the start of their 6th year. But the separation didn't last and a few months later they rekindled their relationship. They were quite the couple through out the rest of their Hogwarts days. And upon graduating and furthering their training and education by taking up jobs for the ministry, Martin and Lisa were wed.

Their marriage was to be based on good quality values and respect. A union birthed and nurtured on love and honesty. It worked fine for the first few years. And then a terrible night happened. If you asked Mr. and Mrs. Grant what it was they were fighting about that lead Martin to go storming out of their house, neither of them would be able to answer you. It was obviously something petty and trivial; but at the time it seemed important, and as their terrible argument climaxed into an all out screaming match, Mr. Grant slammed the front door shut and left Lisa Grant sitting at the base of their stairs in a sobbing frazzled mess.

Around two months later a phone call came to their house and the voice on the other end of the line was unfamiliar, yet asked for Martin. Mr. Grant had given his number to the girl he had bedded the night of their horrible terrible fight. She was calling to tell Martin that she was with child. Hadrianna, as Lisa found she was called, was looking for the father of her baby. Devastated by the misjudgments of her husband, Lisa pleaded with Martin, begging for him to tell her it wasn't true.

Martin could say nothing and after a sleepless night of tears and heart ache, Martin packed his bags and left. He had every intention of doing the right thing for his child. Hadrianna was not looking for a relationship but Martin, was fighting that she let him do something, as he felt it was his duty as a man to take this responsibility.

Lisa, alone in their home with nothing to comfort her, struggled to get over her separated husband, and fell ill over a few weeks time. It was then that she learned about her own pregnancy. Their first born. Initially, Lisa had the intention of going it alone and leaving Martin and Hadrianna to hash out their issues in peace, but once the brutal morning sickness kicked in and the guilt of not telling him began to eat at her already fragile heart, Lisa gave in and went out to find him.

Mr. Grant was over joyed with the news and more proud than he could have ever been. Having not forgotten about Hadrianna though, Martin let her alone for a while but promised to take care of his child with her. When Nicolas was born they agreed that join custody would be best for Nicolas. At first it was difficult but the Grants only had two babies half the time. And Nicolas was a few months older than Tristan.

It was all the beginning of something wonderful. The Great Grant Brood. Following behind Tristan some years later were the twins Ruby and Krystal. A pair that could always be counted on for being a handful. Then Justin who was sweet and a bit more like Lisa than the others. And Pan, who always had her mother's social tenancies. And finally Elijah, the best mudpie baker in all the land. Or so his mother has told him. And with a brood this big, the Grants have added a very special member of the family. Levy. An older female house elf who loves the children dearly and helps Lisa with watching them. The extra set of eyes while Mr. Grant is at work has been a very great help over the years and Levy is less of a servant and more of a cherished family member.

Upon seeing that her children were all rather bright, Lisa decided that it was in their best interest that they learn to duel. And who better to learn from than herself. Having been quite the skilled duelest in her time, the children learned well from her and have since all become rather skilled as well. In dueling as well as other things. Though not allowed to use magic outside of Hogwarts, Lisa devised a mock system that worked to help them hone their instincts and the proper incantations. This also includes non-offensive magic such as the patronus incantations and other such things she's found useful.

In her time at the ministry, Lisa has worked toward being on the Accidental Magical Reversal Squad. She's loved every second of it and works hard to keep their world safe from exposure. But the start of this school year has meant a change for Lisa as well. She now works in dispatch, as per her delicate condition.

Just this last summer, the Grant's have discovered that there will be yet another addition to their clan. But the baby remains a mystery, refusing to give in and tell if it's a boy or girl. Martin and Lisa are very over joyed and happy to have another little one in the house again.
