( MIRROR OF ERISED ) : To attend Oxford University in England and get a degree in Biostatistics or Biology. Unlike most of the wizards at Hogwarts, Rogan has always seen himself going to a muggle university to enhance his learning after he gets out of school.
( PERSONALITY ) : Rogan is the quiet shy type that is more likely to curl up into a chair and read a book on a Friday night than go out to a wild and crazy party. He’s fairly reserved, however, he’s friendly and open once he’s been approached and enjoys making new friends. Rogan is fiercy loyal and will typically defend someone he considers to be a friend past any logical point, even if it’s clear that they don’t deserve to be defended, which can be a major weakness for Rogan.

He’s just recently made it out of those awkward teenage years with the help of his best friend Jack Campbell and is just now learning how to talk to girls...he’s awkward to say the least, not sure what goes right in a sentence when approaching a woman. He’s been found to blurt the first thing that comes to his mind - something that most girls either find extremely weird or undeniably cute. Having not much interaction with the opposite sex until this year, Rogs blushes easily and frequently finds himself at a loss for words when in the presence of a girl that he thinks is attractive.

Rogan is a little ignorant when it comes to prejudice in the Wizarding world, but once someone has made their prejudice clear, he is loudly out spoken and confrontational about it. He feels that since this is the 1970’s everyone should realize that all bloodlines have been tainted at some point or another, and everyone should just come to grips with this realization and get over it. He’s not afraid to say it either - when he visits his family in the US during holidays, he heads a small debate club out of his hometown in Rhode Island. There, he’ll spend hours arguing for what he feels is right and against what he feels is wrong.

( HAIR ) : A light brown mop of hair rests on top of Rogan’s head; it’s kind of shaggy, and almost wavy, but he’s been refusing to cut it lately. He likes the freedom of keeping it a bit longer.
( EYES ) : Hazel/Green.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : This year, Rogs has finally grown into that chin of his...it’s always been a prominent feature on his face, but this is the first time in his life that he actually feels like he fills it all out. Nothing else notable.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Rogan is tall and lanky and has just grown out of that awkward teenager phase. He’s shot up like a bean-pole, resting around 6’4” now. He’s also been eating a lot and running, weighing around 220 lbs in all muscle. He’s athletic looking and muscular - despite the fact that he doesn’t play any sports.
( ATTIRE ) : Rogs doesn’t typically get dressed up; normally it’s just whatever he’s most comfortable in. His attire can range from jeans, t-shirts, and flannel to his cherished own Gryffindor robes.

( HISTORY ) : Rogan Finn Sawyer was born on the beautiful morning of October 14th to loving parents James and Niamh Sawyer. James was a Naval Flight Officer being part of the Airborne Reconnaissance division and was more often than not not available at home. He worked a lot, leaving his wife Niamh with Rogan when he didn’t have the time. Niamh - who was born in Wales and immigrated to the United States when she was a young woman - was a fashion designer, with a line of clothing that she worked on from time to time...at least, when she was tending to her darling son. He was their first born and from the moment that he was old enough to have cognizant thoughts, his parents knew that there was something special about their Rogan. From the beginning, he was articulate in demanding what he needed for survival; he could say more than the average child by the time that he reached a year and a half. It was then that his mother discovered that she was pregnant again - this time with twins.

That was when the first move happened; Rogan’s father got relocated to a Naval base in Pensacola, Florida. It was there that Rogs’ mum gave birth to his younger siblings, Whittaker and Chelsea Sawyer. He became their protector of sorts, always watching out for them like the dutiful older brother that he was supposed to be. They grew up and although he tried his best to protect Whitt and Chels, he felt like he was facing an uphill battle. He was nearly two years older than them, but sometimes they bickered like they had all been born on the same day. That was when Rogan realized how much he loved to argue and took an interest in debate. In his free time, he would go to the library and pick up books that were written for those high above his age group level and learn about law and different argumentative tactics. They moved three more times by the time that he was eleven, to Millington, Tennessee, Fort Worth, Texas, and to Norfolk, Virginia.

The final move was to the quaint town of Newport, Rhode Island. Rogs liked this city most of all - for it was there they they stayed for two years....and have stayed since he went to Hogwarts. His father took an office job of sorts, working more of the technical department of the Navy as opposed to the Reconnaissance Unit. The day that he turned eleven years old, a strange thing happened. Two men from a place called the Ministry of Magic showed up at his front door, informing him that - because of his duel citizenship and his mother being British - he was being offered a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy in Scotland.

On the train to Hogwarts, Rogan met Jack Campbell who tried to scam him out of a few galleons that he had on his person. It was then that the pair became friends - since that moment they became inseparable. It was only fitting that both of them were sorted into Gryffindor.

During his holiday’s, he likes to spend time checking out all the sights of England because he was born in America. A few years ago, he visited Oxford and fell in love with the idea of Muggle Universities. It was there that he met Deborah Collins, a Biostatistics Professor who he immediately became enamored with. Her extensive research in the fields of medical biostatistics had him practically oo-ing and ah-ing in excitement. Since that moment, he has wanted to study at Oxford with Dr. Collins and find out more about this extensive field of research...in fact, that’s what he plans on doing when he finally graduates from Hogwarts, unbeknownst to all his friends and most of the witches and wizards that he knows. He’s just not sure that he’s ready to take a job in the wizarding community, considering he came from an entirely muggle background.

He has been going through an awkward phase up to this year - pimples, zits, and lanky limbs that are too awkward for him to control...but since the summer holiday rolled around - something’s changed. Rogan no longer looks like the awkward teenager that he once was and he’s finally grown into his height...This year, he plans on soliciting a teacher to start a debate club at Hogwarts so that he can be the president.
