( PERSONALITY ) : She’s snippy, forward, not afraid to speak her mind to anyone and everyone, and doesn’t really care if they get offended. She also likes to tell what she sees as the truth. Sometimes she’ll tell someone what she sees as the truth about them just to get a rise out of them, but usually it’s because she can tell they can’t see it themselves.

Jessie does have a softer side as well; usually if the men are hot the booze is flowing. She did manage to make a bit of a name for herself in America at The Salem Institute. Her late nights weren’t simply limited to the student body either.

She is cocky and can act rashly sometimes or at least seem to. Jessie quite often thinks quickly on her feet, being able to see both pros and cons almost simultaneously. She is a flirt, plain and simple. She takes pride; much like a man does, when she takes a boy’s virginity. She does know better than to brag to others, due to that whole double standard thing, but she does grin to herself about it.

The American girl is loyal and brave and does have a set of morals. While bending and sometimes breaking rules is one thing, laws and the more serious rules are something to be fallowed, as well as common decency, as she found out the hard way. She will defend those unknown to her who are being taken advantage of, as well as those close to her, and she is not afraid to stand up to more experienced wizards or students to do it. She hates gossip in general, but will use it to find out about a person of interest. Jessie would also selflessly save the life of even her most hated rival because it’s what should be done, not so they ‘owe’ her. What they think of it is their own business.

( HAIR ) : Jess’ hair hangs just below her shoulders and is auburn in color. She says auburn because back in America red isn’t in vogue. It naturally forms rather large, uneven curls and waves, but she has been known to straighten it.
( EYES ) : Wide and doe-like they are, giving her face a rather innocent look, but don’t let those big blue eyes fool you.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Although rather round, it does not appear fat or anything of that sort. She is rather pale and tends to burn faster than most. Her skin is flawless, which does help overcome the slight roundness of the face.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Because she is only 5’4” and about 135 pounds, she tends to appear on the stockier side, but the just lets her curves be more noticeable in anything she wears. She has nicely formed legs and a lovely hourglass figure without excess hip action and no bubble butt. Jessie has four tattoos. Two are on the insides of her wrists, and they look like this. She got them in tribute to her mother and Arthur. The third is a Blue Bird with a bandit mask. It sits on her back on her left hip. On her right thigh, high enough that it's tail just shows when she is wearing short shorts. It was a tribal Thunderbird.
( ATTIRE ) : Her clothing, while almost never seen in Europe, except maybe in American movies, is much more common in States side. When not in the dull, drab, monochromatic Hogwarts uniforms, one can find Jess in almost anything from cowboy boots, jeans, a tee-shirt, and jean jacket, or combat boots, jeans, a collared shirt, and her dad’s WWII Ike jacket, to flirty little summer dresses. She can clean up nice too if she must, but it can be soo much work

( HISTORY ) : Jessie’s history, well first off, she wasn’t born Jessie at all. She was born Amber Kittredge Kennedy to Devin and Arthur Kennedy. And yet again, I must already make corrections to what you might be thinking. You see about three years before Jess, we’ll call her that to make it easier on everyone. It was about three years before Jess was born, her mother was sucked into a white supremacy group its very charming, handsome, charismatic leader, Jacob Alexander Monroe or Jake the Wolf as he was known to the police. Devin wasn’t fond of the group’s theology or activities, but had fallen in love with Jake and she liked the excitement of being with someone like Jake. She took up a few classes at the local college to learn typing to make some extra money, legitimate money for Jake and his crew. That’s where she met Arthur Kennedy; typing professor by day, hex breaker by night. Devin knew it was a risk, but she started seeing Arthur on the side, mostly just before and after class.

Everything changed for Devin when she became pregnant. She had already fallen out of love with Jake anymore, but she had fallen for Arthur. Jake had also gotten more violent and it scared her. The pregnancy gave her an excuse to go home to see her parents. But Devin wasn’t just going home to be with her own family, she was also running away from Jake to marry her black knight Arthur. When their little girl was born, she looked almost exactly like her father, Jake Monroe, but Arthur loved both his girls just the same.

This happy story sadly doesn’t end there. When Devin didn’t come back, Jake sent word to find her, and find her he did, married to some black man who was raising his kid. The short of the long is Jake put a hit out on the entire family; mom dad, baby, even the grandparents weren’t safe from his anger and assassin. But when it came time to kill the infant, the man Jake sent couldn’t do it as Jess stared up at him silently, as though unafraid. The man dropped her off at a church on the other side of town with a note that her name was Jessie Brylinn so Jake couldn’t find her; about a year or so later the Jamesons adopted little Jessie.

Jessie was raised with a strong sense of what was right, wrong, and what just was. She knew it was wrong that she was picked on at school for her bright red hair, freckles, and almost shocking stone blue eyes. The teachers didn’t seem to care much when she went home with bruises or when her parents complained, so her father who had been a marine and now a Navy SEAL, taught her how to defend herself. He showed her more advanced and damaging moves as she got older and he thought she could apply them appropriately.

The biggest shock of their lives came when Jessie was 12, when a majestic black raven delivered a letter from a place called The Salem Institute for Sorcery and Magic. It informed them that she was a witch, the daughter of one pureblood witch named Devin Kennedy. With a little more digging Jess was able to find out the rest of the story of what had happened 12 years ago. Her being a witch also explained a few odd things that had happened. The next question was how they were going to move from Alabama all the way to Massachusetts. Hal couldn’t simply ask for another transfer, he had just received one three months ago. They saved and scrimped the rest of that summer and made it work when it was time for term to start.

Even with the upheaval of finding out what she was and about the magical world at large, the revelations about why she was adopted, and the stress of moving, Jessie managed to pass her first year with flying colors. Kids still made fun of her because she had muggle parents and they naturally assumed she was muggle-born herself. A few jabs to the stomach and once to the neck for a particularly nasty older boy ended most of the teasing. Because of her slightly violent tendencies, Jessie started hanging with all the wrong sort of people; this is also where she got the nick name JJ, Jessie James, Southern Comfort, and So Co. her grades dropped drastically while she was with this group, and from her second year until her fourth year, Jessie just barely scraped by. By the time classes started after summer break in her sixth year, Jessie had lost her virginity to her 17 year old boyfriend; the term was used loosely. But a 16 year old school boy can become so boring so quickly. Good thing school was starting up again. The Salem Institute was only a partial boarding school. This meant that you went home everything weekend, if you could afford to, from your first year until you third year, after that you stayed at the school all term like Hogwarts.

Jessie also wasn’t the thin, flat, gangly girl she used to be, and all the other boys began to notice as well. That’s when she saw him. Mr. Larken, the new transfigurations teacher. She knew she had to at least try to gain his attentions, after all, he must be more interesting then school boys yes? She watched for awhile, noticing he easily ignored the advances of the more sluty girls in her grade, so she decided to try something a bit more mature like. She’d stay after class to make insightful conversation on that day’s lesson, and ask him intelligent questions. This had two positive results; one was that got much better grades in that class than in any of her others, and the second one was that her ploy worked, and she was right, men were much more interesting than boys. While they were together, Mr. Larken pushed her to do the best of everyone in a class she clearly liked anyway. With his help, she began to learn how to become and animagus. The headmistress was much less thrilled when she found out. She told them to stop of she would fire Mr. Tyler Larken and kick Jessie out of school with prejudice, meaning she would have a hard time if not impossible time getting into any other magic school in the world. They didn’t stop, and in retaliation for the threat, Jessie also seduced the headmistress’s 15 year old virgin son and stole a valuable magic award from her office after breaking in. Jessie was almost done with her animagus training at that point and has recently perfected it.

Needles to say the headmistress found out and Jessie was expelled before the week was out. But Albus Dumbledore of Hogwarts School of Witchcarft and Wizardry had heard about her and seemed to see something in her that merited one of his famous ‘second chances’. He had conditions though, he could not just join the ranks of the Hogwarts student two thirds of the way through the school year, and she had to wait and repeat her fifth year, making her two years older than the rest of them. After a long chat with her parents, Albus managed to convince them their daughter would turn herself around and it was worth the move, so Jessie’s father asked for and was granted a transfer to England. This is Jessie’s first year at Hogwarts after being sorted into Gryffindor, even though she doesn’t know why considering how she’s acted in the past; hopefully that weird old stuffy hat does.
