( PERSONALITY ) : Professor Horace E.F. Slughorn, current Potions Master for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is seen as a charismatic and jovial teacher. Students are often drawn to him due to his magnetic personality and his unheard of methods of class motivation- namely, bribery. He often offers students with top grades and perfectly brewed portions a prize incentive, to assure they work their absolute hardest. For those who display immense talent in any subject, or are bound by blood to reach fame and authority, he hosts quite an enticing organization- The Slug Club.

The Slug Club is comprised of the finest individuals that Hogwarts has to offer. Many of these students will inevitably ride the coat-tails of their predecessors to fame, but not all. No, Horace hand pick's a select group of teens who display genuine talent in a variety of the magical arts. He has no bias based on blood, but has generally found that most purebloods obtain greater magical comprehension. Slughorn takes the deepest pleasure in grooming the future leaders of the wizarding community, and the title comes with many a perk. He receives a constant influx of gifts, social invitations, and public recognition from his students who went on to establish glory. He is a creature of comfort, and enjoys these...little surprises gratuitously. He grants praise and information to his most intuitive proteges. ( HAIR ) : Professor Slughorn has the typical hair of any aging wizard. It's salt-and-pepper in color and just beginning the receding process.
( EYES ) : Horace possesses eyes that are rather round and watery. They appear to be a darker hue of gooseberry, which is a curious combination of plum purple and sapphire blue.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : His face is round and plump, and he's starting to formulate the wrinkles of an elder. Depending on his mood and how much alcohol he's consumed, it frequents various shades of rouge.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Horace enjoys the finer delicacies of life in abundance, and as such he is pleasantly plump. It simply adds to his jubilant character!

( HISTORY ) :Slughorn was born to the adoring couple, Jebidiah and Bernadette Slughorn. Though the were wonderful and nurturing beings, Horace felt as if they were insignificant blips on the time line of the universe. The lad didn't strive for fame and glory as most, but instead he yearned to harvest and control that power, and use it to his advantage. That is not to say that he was a cruel individual, on the contrary he was quite a pleasant boy. He simply wanted to be remembered and recognized without standing in the spotlight- the glow did him no justice.

Horace was immensely satisfied to receive his letter of admission to Hogwarts, and was pleased to be sorted into the noble house of Slytherin. He was indeed an ambitious boy, always offering help to the students around him, while still receiving top marks. Even at a young age, he only assisted those who he believed would inevitably rise to a position of authority, and as such would grant him favors in the future. He always had a knack for observing prominent magical abilities, and sniffing out ancient blood lines. He remained neutral throughout his days, never yearning to decide between the pure-blood elitists and the muggle alliances. It is better to remain unnoticed in such controversies, as to avoid detrimental harm to his own being.

Most of these qualities carried over into adulthood, when he began his profession as the Potions Master of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He started the very same year as the infamous Albus Dumbledore, who he quickly grew fond of. Horace could sense a mysterious power emanating from the mans presence at that original introduction. Soon after he began his career, he took special interest in a select group of able-bodied students. It was then that he began the Slug Club, a tradition he continues to uphold.
