When asked what he sees in the mirror, Dumbledore tells people he sees himself holding a pair of socks. In reality though, what people don’t know is that he sees his family in whole, as they could have been if his sister had never been attacked by muggles. That way, his sister would have been sane, his father wouldn't have died in Azkaban, his mother wouldn't have been killed, and he and his brother could have gone on to have more normal lives, and his sister would never have died as he and Grindelwald and Aberforth fought over the best way to handle her and handle their lives.

( PERSONALITY ) :
Though Albus is probably one of the kindest people you’ll meet, he does tend to think about the Greater good rather than the people themselves. If you had to die, and it was for thee greater good, then he would let you. Besides that point, Albus, for as long as he can remember, has had an interest in men rather than women. He finds them more dominating and very easy to control, where as women just confuse him altogether.

Albus Dumbledore is however a great man. He would do anything to make you happy and he runs the school and makes sure that things are handled in the way that they should be. He doesn’t allow people to be bullied, and sometimes overlooked when people are misbehaving. He is known as the cookie yet great person.

During the summer afternoon of August 16, 1881, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was born to Kendra and Percival, in what was then the wizarding village of Mould-in-the-Wold. He was a healthy baby boy, and his parents loved him dearly. When he was three, he became a big brother to Aberforth, and he was very protective of him. He tried to do him by good. At the age of Four, he got a baby sister and he and Aberforth loved her dearly. At first, during early life, they were a happy family. They learned a lot, played together, and did everything together, though Albus was a bit perceptive and demanding at his age.

It all changed during summer of 1891, the year before Albus was due to go to Hogwarts. Ariana was attacked by three Muggle boys who had seen her doing magic because they were afraid of what they saw and the incident had left her both mentally and physically injured. Because of the incident, Ariana’s magical powers were left severely altered and would manifest themselves on rare occasions usually in random or destructive ways. In his anger, Percival, having wanting to get revenge for his baby girl, had gone after the three boys. Albus, wondering where his father was going had followed him out of curiosity and what he saw that day, he would never forget. He watched as his father put the three boys under the Cruciatus curse. Percival was caught by the Aurors and was sentenced to life in Azkaban. Albus hated his father for what he had done, but he did realize that his father had done it for the greater good. The man was hurting, so he hurt the ones who hurt his family. It would take years for Albus to see it that way though.

The Dumbledore family quickly went from one of the most respected families of the wizarding community to one of the most hated family. To escape the horrors of the village and the accusations of the community as a whole, Kendra moved her family to the village of Godric’s Hollow, which like Mould-in-the-wold, was mainly a wizarding village.Deciding to reject her neighbors, with the exception of the Bagshot family, Kendra had it in her mind to be left alone with her family for of being rejected or hated because of her family past. Albus soon learned not to mention his father or sister in the public, and if anyone asked, he would lie about it.

Sometime in July of 1892, Albus got accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At first, he had been worried about leaving his family alone, but his mother had talked him into going. So, on the first of September, Albus made his way to Hogwarts and started the first day of the rest of his life. He was sorted into Gryffindor and he was known as that boy who’s father killed innocent Muggles. He hated having the attention on him because of what his father did, and he had never resented his father more than he did during his first year. It was because of Percival that he was talked about, why there were whispers in the hallways about him.

Everyone thought that because Percival hated Muggles, that Albus, like his father, would hate Muggles as well. But that was far from the truth. Some of the students praised his father’s actions, hoping to get into Albus’ good books, but he only told them off and stayed away from people like them. Throughout his years at Hogwarts, Albus went from being the most talked about at school for his father’s actions to the most talked about in school for his uncommon kindness towards people and his extremely good marks in school. He had made from with people like Nicholas Flamel, Elphias Doge, and Bathilda Bagshot, and Griselda Marchbanks. He became a Prefect in his fifth year and went on to being Head Boy in his seventh year.

After graduating with top marks in school, he planned on going on a Grand Tour of the world with his best friend Elphias Doge, but his plans were put on hold when his mother was killed by Ariana’s already whacked magic. Albus soon returned to Godric’s Hollow full of bitter resentment of his situation. he felt trapped and wasted. Something good finally happened in his life when a very handsome boy by the name of Gellert Grindelwald showed up and introduced himself to Albus Dumbledore. For Dumbledore, it was love at first site, because like Albus, Gellert wanted to do things for the Greater good. Unlike Albus, Gellert wanted to rid of the world of Muggles and Albus had blindly followed Gellert in that dream.

After about two months, Aberforth confronted Albus for neglecting their sister over the past few weeks, telling him that he couldn’t carry out his plans with Grindelwald, as he would have to take Ariana with him. Grindelwald then used the Cruciatus curse on Aberforth, and a violent duel erupted between the three boys. Ariana, herself tried to intervene in the fight, but wasn’t able to due to her inability to properly hone her abilities. In the ensuing chaos, she was hit with a stray curse and died. No one knew who did it, but Gellert fled immediately, as he had already a record back at home, leaving a devastated Albus behind.

In 1936, Albus returned to Hogwarts to assume the job of Transfigurations professor. Two years later, he was sent to retrieve Tom Riddle so that he could come to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He learned that Tom Riddle was a very sneaky little boy and that he was very stubborn and very dark. Later in life, he defeated Grindelwald (Albus), and then went on to become Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, after Dippet died. The first wizarding War started, and he had the Whomping WIllow planted and the shrieking shack made for one Remus Lupin in 1971, who was a werewolf. He is still headmaster today, and has several titles and what not.

Remus looked at James as he spoke. It seemed to Remus that the boy would listen to his words, just not too seriously. After all, you couldn't change overnight. Remus smiled and put a hand on James shoulders, looking in the eyes. “I’m not asking you to change James.I know you are who you are and there’s no woman or man, if you swing that way in the end, that can change you.” Remus said smiling. “Besides, if you quit pranking altogether, then who are we gonna turn to for ideas? I may be the smartest of the lot, but I am not clever enough to come up with these amazing things. I think rationally, you think flashy” Remus pretended to ponder over his own words. “Though I suppose we could always just prank you as well as pranking the rest of the school if you do stop cold turkey.”Remus turned to Sirius and rolled his eyes. “Of course Paddy, but it doesn't mean that we could go too far into hurting Lily, without it being intentional” he said, and then thought about the night he would finally not be afraid to tell Lily about his “furry little problem” as Sirius liked to call it.

Remus snapped out of his dark thoughts, smiled at Sirius words, and rubbed his hands together at James words, knowing that they had unfinished things to do. He turned back towards the Slytherin table, and pulled out his wand, and waved them over the table, to add the animal touch to it. Just to make sure that both his and Sirius’ spell would work. He also added the Furnunculus curse like James said, and then smiled to himself. Their work was coming along nicely. He then waved his wand over the table, and made a cheering charm upon it as well..

Remus had turned around to make sure that this part of the work was done when he felt a snap at his backside and turned to glare at both James and Sirius. Sirius was the one smirking so he just continued glaring at the boy’s back, until it had turned. Eyes lighting up in mischief and his smirk widening, he flicked his wand silently at Sirius, the man’s hair turning neon pink with purple swears around it. He also flicked a flea collar onto the man and then put his wand away, before Sirius could see what he did. Remus winked at James and then went over to peer at the map, over Sirius shoulders.

At the mention of Filch, Remus nose twitched, and he grimaced in disgust. “Yeah, I can smell him from here. I think it’s about high time we hijack it out of here. Which passage do you suggest Paddy? “ he asked, eyeing the map that had the closest passage that was free of wandering professors and prefects around. “Damn, and I left my badge back in the tower as well” he said, feeling ashamed of himself.
