Jacen took a walk up on the last flight of steps before reaching the Astronomy Tower. He slowed his pace and began to enjoy the rushing cold air. The wind whipped against his face. This week had been a whirlwind for him. He had meetings for the tournament and with Professor Slughorn. Both seemed to have gone well. His grandmother and spent all week on a deal with the Black family. He was to be betrother to one of the Black sisters and after his run in with one of them he was starting to feel better about the deal. He was not originally okay with it, the idea of being settled down at seventeen scared Jacen half to death, but it was part of the deal he made with his grandmother to let him back into her good graces.
He had never met Andromeda, not that he could recall anyway. He was intrigued with this girl. The Black sisters were an interesting group and he was finding himself in the middle of the family very soon. He shook these thoughts away and grabbed the edge of the wall where the window was. Jacen swung his body out the window and onto the roof above the window. He landed with a thump but Jacen had plenty of practice.
He let his body fade into a simpler time. A quiet thought, he let his body relax for the first time. The roof was plenty big enough for Jacen to lay. He had been up here before quite a few times and it made him feel at home. He did this when he was a kid, he would climb out his window and just watch the stars above. It had been many years but he still found this to be the most peaceful of times. It was a quiet night and non one had disturbed him in almost an hour when he heard a noise. He could hear footsteps on the way up the steps. He leaned his body down, holding himself on the roof while trying to see who it was. He couldn't see who it was though. He figured he could just wait until they made it farther into the moonlight.
