Bellatrix said nothing. She turned her head and looked away, just as she assumed that Integra was right now. She couldn’t just abandon her father’s wishes as much as she wanted to; there was honor and pride to deal with, things that Bellatrix had built her life upon. If she decided to ruin the foundation of her very way of living, then everything else would come tumbling down as well. What she was suggesting was mental homicide at the hands of her father. They were like two prideful children unable to get over themselves for a moment so that they could come to terms with the situations that were at hand. It was ridiculous the way that they were acting - if someone had been looking on, they would have seen two nearly adult women acting as if they were six years old and fighting over who was queen of the play-ground, ”Don’t be so melodramatic. It’s unflattering.” Bellatrix retorted to the girl’s claim that she was better off not existing at all. Bells knew that she had just thrown her own pity party and probably should have been more understanding toward Integra in that moment, but all she could see was the feud that had been plaguing them since last year.It was unfortunate to say the least that Ichabod was coming for two weekends in a row. As if parents weekend wasn’t enough torture for the Slytherin children. Bellatirx reached up and pressed her fingertips to her lips, knowing full-well that almost every single Slytherin had parental issues. Perhaps that was what had put them in the house in the first place. They were all crazy with unresolved mummy and daddy problems stemming from their childhood. The very thought made Bells laugh aloud, however, she brushed it off as nothing by pressing her lips together in a thin line.Bella had always liked Arcadia, at least more than she had liked Ichabod, but hearing the way that Teggy spoke of her mother, Bells could only assume that the quaint little family facade that they had put on all these years was indeed just that. She rolled her eyes at the recount of what Integra’s mother had said, ”Of course she is. Everyone wants us to marry into their name and become the dutiful little housewives that we’re destined to be.” Bellatrix scoffed as she turned her head back to focus on Integra. When she said it like that, it was obvious that the pair of them felt the same way about marrying into that family. Integra didn’t want to be a part of them because of their parents and Bellatrix didn’t want to marry because she hated Rodolphus with every imaginable fiber of her being. Two sides of the same coin, ”Fuck domesticity.” She breathed, reaching up and running a hand through her dark hair. She wasn’t sure that she would ever be tamed. And she honestly couldn’t see Integra being tamed either. They were certifiably insane together...surely marriage would only amplify things.
