The Slytherin Gang
Hello! This is a request for a group of pure-blooded, elitist friends for Lucius Malfoy.
Up until this year, Lucius has lead the group with unquestioned authority. A prefect and a Malfoy, he and the gang were able to cause trouble and avoid any unwanted consequences from the faculty. However, the members have begun to note a shift in character in Lucius. He’s uncommitted, negligent, and seems to have more tolerance for those in other Houses. Dissatisfied, some will start to look to Bellatrix, her persuasiveness, strong leadership qualities, and take-no-prisoners attitude toward mudbloods. But how will this affect her relationship with Narcissa who’s soft on Lucius? Will Lucius let her take the leadership or try to win back their loyalty? Not to mention there’s those Marauders to deal with.
All the characters below are canon. Play-bys are up to you, of course, and names, too, where applicable. I wrote general character descriptions, but you can alter them to your heart’s content. Let vicious pranks on those sniveling Marauders, bullying upon hug-happy Hufflepuffs, and general debauchery commence!
Severus ____ Snape
6th year and half-blood
Suggested play-by: Louis Garrel
Harassed by the Marauders, Severus was drawn to this particular group of Slytherins to give him a sense of security. He’s also under the delusion that joining a gang makes him look tough and hopefully more attractive in the eyes of Lily Evans. An exemplary student and wizard, with a talent for inventing spells, Severus likes to feel important, but is insecure of his abilities.
____ ____ Avery (OPEN)
6th year and pureblood
Suggested play-by: Jeremy Dufour
Avery’s the physically strongest of them all. He brings discipline and practical reasoning to the group. Avery’s not one to lose his temper, and is pretty good at separating his emotions from his logic. Although he supports blood-purity, he isn’t especially passionate about it; more for appearances, than anything else. Has a tendency toward condescension. Probably the most faithful to the current regime, but not outwardly affectionate or sentimental.
____ ____ Nott (OPEN)
6th year and pureblood
Suggested play-by: Grayson Vaughan
Nott is considerably more charismatic than the others. He frequently utilizes his charming and persuasive demeanor to get out of trouble, butter up professors, and to win girls’ affections (only pure-blood girls, of course). He’s very clever and possesses a sense of humor not very present in the others. A bit of a compulsive liar and not especially trustworthy. Entitled and easily offended.
Narcissa ____ Black
5th year and pureblood
Suggested play-by: Hannah Wahmer
Narcissa Black isn’t really involved or interested in the bullying aspect of the gang. Like the pretty girl in a rock band who just plays the tambourine, she serves little functional purpose. Prone to feeling underestimated and underappreciated by others, she’s very eager to prove herself as anything but ‘the little Black sister.’ Truthfully, she’s a naïve, inexperienced girl, but she sees herself as otherwise. In addition, she is presently harboring a school-girl crush for Lucius – in spite of the fact that he continually forgets her name.
Amycus ____ Carrow (OPEN)
7th year and pureblood
Suggested play-by: Gaspard Ulliel
The resident ‘brooder’ of the group, he has the attitude of a tortured soul. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to tackle problems in a very creative, out-of-the-box way. Heavily guided by his emotions. Seems to be a bit misplaced in Slytherin as he was sorted there as a request – the rest of his family had been in Slytherin. He seems to lack a backbone of his own.
Bartemius ____ Crouch, Jr.
5th year and pureblood
Suggested play-by: Angus Low
It’s pretty clear to just about everyone that he has a strong dangerous streak and isn’t quite right in the head. Sadistic, he always likes a good show. Very arrogant and boastful. Not physically intimidating, but he does have an air of creepiness about him. Kind of annoyed by Severus Snape and Lucius’ treatment of him; Lucius tends to treat Snape with a certain amount of favoritism, like a younger brother. He is one of the most critical of Lucius’ leadership this year.
