brief history: No sad tales of woe were to be had in the Avery household. Callisto grew up in a loving home with normal Pureblood parents, who treated both their children well. It was an idyllic, untroubled existence. She did not want for any affection nor for material possessions, but Calli was far from spoiled. Her childhood was simply a happy one, without complications or drama. Being a Pureblood was like a form of nobility, sure, but she never quite grasped the intense hatred of Muggles or Muggleborns imparted on many of her kindred. Truth be told, that sort of politics never interested her, and even after joining Slytherin and being surrounded by bigotry, she remained largely indifferent. There were far more interesting things to focus on, like Erebos, her brother. To say she idolized him, would not quite do her feelings justice. Callisto looked up to him ever since she could remember, but it was much more than that. He was, in a word, perfect. Absolutely perfect, but as the years went by, it seemed like he drifted further and further away from her... and toward the boys in their House. His wandering attention made her angry and spiteful. In return, she began attracting all the wrong sort of attention from everyone else, in the hopes of drawing him back to her – or at least having some fun to distract her in the meantime.
