It had been awhile since Ezra had had a good runabout. Not in the sense most would have thought of course. Her runabouts required four legs, and the addition of quite a bit of fur and whiskers.
With a quick slip from the castle after classes and her usual bag of snacks and such, she was in the forest. Only once had the forbidden forest lived up to its name and she was promptly escorted back to the castle. Since then she had gotten a bit more sneaky. Once she was safely in the cover of the trees, she changed to her animagi form and stretched as though she'd been cooped up in a little box for a week. The earth beneath her felt cool and welcoming. The familiar smells filled her nose and she took off.
She loved this. It was second nature. Running, leaping, climbing. It all filled her with adrenaline that only Quidditch could outdo. Climb this tree, leap, over to that one, run, climb and hop off of this. She often lost herself as she zipped through the foliage. And this was one of those times. Tearing the earth up behind her as she darted through the brushes and brambles, she was at full speed, the burn in her muscles urging her ever forward. Until of course, she came bursting from some underbrush and saw a big flash of white. Instantly all for, paws halted and she skidded across the forest floor right at what she could see was a rather spectacular looking wolf.
Unfortunately, going as fast as she had been, hadn't given her enough time to stop, and by the time she had come to a full stop, her nose bumped the wolfs. Her ears went back, not in anger but in the silent plea of oh dear Merlin please don't eat me, as her eyes widened and her tailed went quite hilariously fluffy.
