Weddings. Raven Monroe and Rian Lewis, were getting married and like most everyone in the ministry, she was invited. Not only was she invited but it was at her cousins estate in southern Italy. It was hot. As usual at such events Avona had decided to sport her mid thigh length royal blue wiggle dress. It was form fitting and extremely flattering, but she wasn't here to attract attention. That was never her intention. What it really was happened to be the outward display that she still had control over her family. Most images dating back years ago, she could be seen standing next to her husband proudly. It was the same thing, the nineteen fifties, forties and even all the way back to the twenties. Avona remembered it all. And up until recently she was the wife of a very powerful family head. Just not in the world of wizards, nor muggles, she was a face known within the ranks of vampires.
There were so many people around and she was on high alert. There was no knowing if anything was going to happen, but she was an Auror and she was here working. Things needed to be done and there were certain people she needed to watch. Grabbing a glass of champagne off a tray as a server moved by, Avona hung next to one of the larger windows peering out as people were milling about and continuing to set up. This event was huge. Much like that of a classic Mortelle wedding, Vincent and the family were seriously pulling out every stunt they had to offer. Even the food was catered by them. Silently her lip shifted up as she thought of her late husband.
On of the security guards came up to her and she held a curt conversation with him and she pointed out the locations that needed people. Avona was making absolute certain that the premises happened to be secure. A soft, mischievous, smile played on her lips as individuals were casting barrier magic to keep unwanteds out. "Good, very nice." She spoke mostly to herself as she rose the glass to her lips leaving the faint impression of ruby red lipstick upon the rim. Slowly she allowed the curtains to fall in front of the glass pane and she turned, heels clicking one step until she remembered she needed to turn the otherway, nearly colliding with a man before her and vamperating herself back one step. "Christ, Tiernach, you scared the living hell out of me."``tag; @mannequin
