brief history: Peter is the son of a Muggleborn wizard Parker Pettigrew and a Pureblood witch Abigail (née Gamp). Parker died before his son was two years old, from accidentally ingesting poison; leaving his wife to raise their only child by herself. Peter turned out to be quite a handful for a single mother. He was not only a messy child but a hyperactive one. He was always on the go, running frantically around and absolutely unable to sit still for even a moment. The neighbors thought him half-wild, running through their lawns covered head-to-toe in dirt as he frequently did. As he got older, Peter became more fastidious, if not exactly neat.
He was always on his own, a rather lonely child, since his mother worked long hours and he had no friends or siblings. Then everything changed once he arrived at Hogwarts. He soon made the acquaintance of James Potter, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, the three of whom quickly became his best (if not only) friends. Peter himself, was always the least of the four – not only in physical stature but in capability. He struggled with schoolwork, scraped by with only a handful of O.W.L.s, and is frequently called out in class for his incompetence. However, he has much greater potential and more power than even he himself believes. It is simply buried under his learning disability and self-depreciation.
