brief history: The Raghnall's are an enormous Catholic (Muggle) family in Belfast. Half of them were involved with The Troubles and the IRA, while the other half were mere targets of religious oppression and violence. Tiernach's mother, father and sisters were among the latter, though his favorite uncle fought (and died) in the resistance. It was obvious that Tier would join the cause when he was old enough. At least, so it was assumed, until a mysterious letter arrived informing the bewildered family that Tiernach was a wizard and had been invited to attend a magical boarding school. It took a lot of getting used to, but it explained many inexplicable things about the boy. Eventually, off he went to Hogwarts, the first of his kin to set foot there. He was sorted into Slytherin, where he immediately learned that being a ‘Mudblood’ was seen as a bad thing. His housemates beat him, hexed him, and otherwise tortured him all through school. The only relief Tier got from this relentless bullying came when he hit puberty, and his hidden Metamorphmagus talents surfaced. Once he discovered that he could change his appearance at will, Tiernach never showed his true face in his own common room, and thereby saved himself greater hardship.
Never one to forgive an insult, as a free man, Tiernach created an alter-ego for himself called “Mannequin.” He tattooed his skin completely, covering every inch of himself with macabre and skeletal designs, so that he looked more like a zombie than a man. Using his Metamorph powers, he could hide the tattoos when using his real name, but he reverted to his inked (real) appearance to tail people and target Purebloods. He chose to devote his life to exposing the “Inbred” for the parasites they were, and so took up a career as a reporter. He intends to use his influence, as well as his abilities, to take down the Pureblood elitists at any cost.
