James smirked as he walked through the corridors; he was supposed to be in class but it was only potions class. He twirled a marble between his fingers as he wracked his brain on what he should do. His friends were all in class so were most of the girls he would spend his time talking to. He wondered how long it would take Sirius to realize that James was not coming back from the bathroom any time soon, it probably wouldn’t take long and he would figure out some excuse to leave class and join the trouble making Potter soon.
He made his way towards the Great Entrance; maybe a little time outside would be nice. He could go down to the Lake and relax in the sun while all those poor souls were stuck in their boring classes. He twisted the marble between his fingers; the cool stone was starting to get warmed up from his touch. He wasn’t really sure why he had the marble; it had been in his pocket. He tried thinking back to when he put the marble in his pocket. He pulled it out of his pocket and looked at it, it was white with a very small lily painted on it. A smirk formed on his lips as he remembered when he found the marble on the floor of the common room. He had thought if he gave it to Lily she might soften to the idea of agreeing to go out with him if only on just one date. He hadn’t really seen the beautiful redhead since that day so he hadn’t been able to give his probably hundredth attempt to ask her out… She had to say yes at some point right?
He twirled the marble in front of his eyes he really hoped that Lily would like it, that she would have a change of heart of course that probably wouldn’t happen, that it would probably take much more than a marble to win that fiery woman over. With one quick movement the marble jumped from his fingers and ran across the ground. “Bloody hell” Now he was going to have to chase the marble as it bounced down a couple stairs headed down towards the Great Entrance. He chased after it not really paying attention to much, if he had been paying attention he probably would of headed in a different direction, he almost ran into the person who found the marble…
