For a while, Eileen couldn't stop crying. She wanted to tell Noah everything. Everything that was ripping out her soul and burying her so far down within the Earth she felt like she was suffocating. But how could he ever understand? Noah was good to her in some ways, though she felt their relationship took more work than she expected. Her first relationship, and it was exhausting her just as much as everything else was. Eileen didn't know if this was normal or unhealthy. At first she'd become obsessed with him, but as time went on, she felt more uneasy. There were times when she would let Noah hold her and it would be the only thing she knew. Everything else just faded away as if all her worries were disappearing and leaving her at peace. Then there were times when she felt everything was wrong. Noah was wrong, their relationship was wrong, even her existence felt wrong. But she could never say those things. She always feared that he would leave her, or get angry at her-- like what had happened at the library.
Eileen's cries subsided and she looked up at Noah as she forced a smile on her face. Eileen hardly ever wore makeup so she wasn't worried about having mascara all over her face, painting it like a racoon. But she knew she was mess. Every time she cried, her pale face would get a blotchy red and her eyes would look like they were almost bleeding.
She nodded her head and walked towards the staircases that would lead them to Ravenclaw tower. She didn't know what Noah meant by somewhere else, but she knew she had to lay down or else she'd fall on the floor dead asleep. The entire walk up the tower seemed like a hazy dream to Eileen. She never said one word to Noah and instead was lost in a thought that filled her head in a fog.
"You can come inside," Eileen said once they had reached the Ravenclaw tower. She'd never invited him in before, but there was a first time for everything. Eileen's head pounded as migraine gripped into the back of her skull, making its way around to the front of her face and her forehead.
