The room wasn't as empty as she expected it to be, not for a weekend anyways. Most people were at Hogsmeade, despite any illnesses or injuries they may have had, somehow during the weekend they would disappear and then reappear when the school week began again on Monday. Funny how that worked. It had been almost 3 weeks since she'd been at Hogsmeade and though she desperately needed to get out of the castle, she wasn't yet able to face the town. Though short as it may have been, memories of being at Hogsmeade with Gavin was very much fresh in her mind.
On the weekends, instead of having fun, she frequented the Hospital Wing as a regular volunteer. She could have used the weekend to read books or do some extra studying, but they never really did her any good anymore. It seemed that a cloud of depression hung over her head and being alone made it worse. Reading had become a past time, in fact the only thing she read now were school textbooks for assignments.
Walking towards a bed with a sleeping student, she replaced the empty glass with water before moving on to the next. There may have been a total of five people in the hospital wing, mostly Quidditch players who had gotten to know her because of their constant visits to the Hospital Wing. Despite being depressed about her failed romance, Eileen kept putting on make up and dressed up on the weekends. It was about the only thing she could control and she desperately needed something to control as her life felt completely out of her hands.
She reached the last bed at the back and upon seeing the "injured" student, laughed before sitting on the bed with him. "What's this? If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were following me," she said in a flirty voice that she had recently acquired and was mastering.
