After spending a good week in the hospital wing Delilah was finally permitted to leave. Logan had been with her the whole time, but it was very nice to get out and enjoy the sun for a while. Taking her time, Dee walked the grounds. Normally she would be running, skipping and jumping but the silver spear had done a number on her shoulder and it was still too sore to really swing her arm. Casting was going to be difficult for a while but at least she was alive right? Thinking back on it, Delilah shuttered at the thought of what would have happened had Logan not found her. Logan, her hero, literally. They boy had protected her his whole life, and how did she repay him? By keeping a deadly secrete and almost dying. She felt horrible. All week she had been trying to find a way to make it up to him. So far, she had nothing.
Taking a seat in the grass, the girl laid on her back to watch the clouds. It was beginning to warm up, most of the snow had been gone for weeks. Spring was coming, and the girl was thrilled. Delilah loved the spring. Flower blooming, baby animals being born. It really was the most fantastic time of year. Taking a deep breath the young Hufflepuff relaxed, there was just something about being outside that made her feel better. Closing her eyes she let the sound of nature surround her. Birds in the trees and the sound of other students not far off made her smile.
The sun peeking though the clouds and hitting her face was icing on the cake, nothing beat the feeling on the sun.... well, nothing accept a hug from Logan, but those were just the best thing ever and nothing would ever top it. Enjoying her time, the girl began to hum a little tune, quickly changing from a quiet murmur to actual singing. "Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together. Brighter than a lucky penny, when you're near the rain cloud disappears, dear, and I feel so fine. Just to know that you are mine." She giggled a little finishing her tune and sighed again. This was turning out to be an okay day.
