In The Midnight Hour || Lucy

A thousand inappropriate thoughts entered Lucy’s mind at Kat’s words, but they seemed to have been spoken with an innocent mindset so Lucy didn’t ruin it with some sort of crude joke. Bed. Right. She wanted to invite Kat to her own, but it was far too premature for that. She knew that she was just too excited to find someone who shared sexualities. It was almost as if many of Lucy’s fantasies had come to life, but Kat seemed so… pure. She didn’t want to scare off the poor girl with suggestions that were too far in the future to even discuss at this moment even though the suggestions were almost pushing past Lucy’s lips uncontrollably. How far into their future were such suggestions, anyway? Would she have to court the girl for a year or more? Lucy wasn’t sure if she was willing to wait that long. What she truly craved was something passionate, something quick and so overwhelming that neither of them could second-guess what they were doing. What she didn’t realize was that what she was really craving was a one-night stand. It wasn’t as if she didn’t want to date Kat, quite the contrary, but her current mood wanted more. It was just temporary. She was sure one night she would find her hands in Kat’s long blonde hair and tussle up the almost perfect mane.

It took Lucy a while to realize that they were actually heading back to the castle. Her mind had gotten the better of her and she wasn’t sure if her companion was speaking with her. Lucy’s eyes gazed over Kat’s face to see if she was waiting for some sort of response, but was grateful when it didn’t seem to be the case. Her eyes lingered over Kat’s mouth a moment longer than necessary, but all she was thinking about was how her own lips there had been there earlier and how they ached to be there again. 

Lucy had followed behind Kat down the hill, but with fewer incidents. She was used to being on such slippery surfaces. When they got to the bottom, Lucy laced her fingers between Kat’s casually. Even though her hands were cold, she wanted to touch Kat’s soft skin again. She wasn’t exactly holding Kat’s hand, the action was a lot looser than that. 

Lucy allowed herself to be lead. She didn’t feel the need for conversation. Their current route seemed like enough for her, but she wasn’t sure about Kat. Kat definitely seemed like the chatty type, and therefore Lucy tried to come up with something to talk about. How was one supposed to do so when they thrived in silence? 

Her mind went back to what Kat had said earlier about being caught not being in bed. “You know, I don’t think the administration exactly does any sort of head count,” she said with a chuckle. “There’s been many times when I wasn’t in bed and they didn’t know. Hell, it’s like half the girls in my dormitory aren’t in bed most of the time.” The boys couldn’t get into the girls’ dormitory, so it wasn’t like they ever truly had extra visitors. Sometimes girl friends from other Houses spent the night, but that was rare. They all wanted to go to back to their own precious common rooms. She supposed the chill of the Slytherin common room wasn’t for everyone. “I suppose the trick is to not get caught.” She didn’t know the point of what she was trying to say. It was the only thing she could think of to make idle conversation. Chit-chat wasn’t exactly Lucy’s forte. 

When the girls reached the castle, Lucy was glad as she was suddenly enveloped in the warmth of the castle again. Usually the castle was a bit too breezy for her tastes, but when one had just spent hours in the chilly cold the castle felt like it was perfect. She snuck in behind Kat, and tried to keep a mental note on how to do this, although she knew she would never do this by herself. She would rather stay in Hogsmeade overnight than try to sneak back in. Both options were dangerous, but the previous seemed a lot less so.

Lucy grinned appreciatively at Kat as she ducked through the tapestry into the hidden walkway. “Do all Gryffindors know these tricks, or just the clever ones?” she whispered as they made their way through the dark. She couldn’t see a damned thing. She had the desire to reach forward in the dark and grab the other girl and pull her close. How exciting would it be to get up to something essentially right in the middle of the whole school? They were hidden, but not properly. They would have to keep their noises low in hopes of not getting caught – Lucy tried to get the thoughts out of her head. She never knew how strong her libido was – or maybe it was just Kat that brought that side of her out. 

They continued onward and Lucy kept her hands to herself as best as she could. She stayed her best behind Kat and occasionally their hands touched on the stone wall. The last thing Lucy wanted was to keep going and then fall out of the passageway and into a corridor right in front of a professor. 

Lucy smirked at Kat’s response. Naturally it would just be the clever ones, although Lucy felt a little left out of the whole fun considering she wasn’t privy to such secrets within the school. Why did it always seem like the Gryffindors always knew all the fun things. Slytherins always just seemed to sneak around. Whatever, it wasn’t important. Lucy never really got in trouble for doing anything within Hogwarts. She always seemed to manage to talk her way out of anything. 

When they reached the end and Kat announced a Prefect and turned, Lucy could feel the other girl’s breath upon her face. It wouldn’t take much. Lucy hesitated, though, and it was just enough for Kat to move again. She knew she was close to being back at her common room, but she didn’t want to leave the blonde quite yet. Reaching forward, she found Kat’s wrist and she clutched it within her hand so that she could find the girl’s waist. In the dark, she managed to find Kat’s lips and kiss her yet again. She began lightly at first, but then added some pressure. She wasn’t one for gentle or sensual kisses. 

She finally broke apart after several moments. “You know, I’m not sure if I can make it into the common room alone. I might get caught,” she said, her whisper coming out rather breathy. “I think maybe you should escort me in so I don’t get in trouble.” She was definitely being forward at this point, but was there really any other option? Either Kat would reject her advances or she wouldn’t. It was as simple as that.

The kiss had gone further than Lucy had expected. It made her blood rush harder and her mind began to go blank. The sensation of making out with Kat was tremendous, and also unfamiliar to Lucy. She began to feel warm in the chilly hideout and she pressed herself closer to Kat. She felt fingers in her hair. She hadn’t expected Kat to react so strongly, but she was glad she did. She had no idea what Kat looked like after the kiss, but Lucy’s face had reddened, not out of embarrassment but out of how warm she suddenly felt. 

“Excellent,” Lucy murmured. She allowed Kat to lead her out into the corridor that was now Prefect-free. It excited to her to know that she had just made out with a hot girl in an unknown passageway right next to a Prefect. She figured the two of them would have to do that more often. She said the password and led Kat into the common room. Even though there were a lot of night owls in Slytherin, the common room was completely deserted. Lucy supposed it was even later than she had guessed.

There was a feeling in the pit of her stomach that she couldn’t ignore. Just touching Kat’s hand wasn’t enough. She led the blonde over to one of the couches and slowly lowered Kat onto it before climbing on top as she buried her face within Kat’s neck, placing kisses up and down it slowly yet deeply. She balanced herself on top of the other girl with her knees and elbows, but their bodies touched slightly. Perhaps Lucy should have asked if this was okay, but she was too busy with her own urges. She lifted her head from Kat’s neck and looked at Kat in the eyes as if looking for direction. She had never gone this far with anyone before, and she knew that at any moment she could go that one step too far and freak Kat out. If Lucy had her way, they wouldn’t even had made a pit stop on the couch and she would have instead just led Kat directly up to her bed. 

Lucy didn't even care that she had just met Kat hours ago. Those sorts of proper things weren't really things that Lucy concerned herself with. She believed those sorts of rituals were just a way to make girls feel bad about themselves and to devalue them. All she cared about in that moment was that she was getting what she wanted... as of yet, at least. 

Lucy was thrilled by the permission to move forward; by Kat’s willingness. When Lucy was in the right mind, little would take her off the path that she desired, and right now she desired Kat and only Kat. She allowed the other girl to remove her coat before moving to Lucy’s. She flung it without looking somewhere else in the common room, unconcerned about where it landed. She pressed herself back into the blonde, feeling their bodies move together on the couch. There was so much uncertainly within Lucy about what to do, but she didn’t let it show. She just went with whatever she felt was right. She let her one hand wander Kat’s body as she kept herself balanced with the other. It was evident that Kat was a Quidditch player as Lucy could feel her muscles that lay under the clothes. 

Lucy closed her eyes and kissed Kat deeply. Her mind just kept flickering back to Kat and her long, blonde hair. She focused on it as if it were somehow important, and little did she realize that she was thinking about Kat so much that her own hair had begun to turn blonde right then and there. As Lucy had never done anything to alter her appearance in her life, she was unaware of her Metamorphmagi status. She hadn’t intended on changing her hair to blonde, but it must have been because she was thinking about it so much. 

Lucy’s hand worked down Kat’s body and reached the button of Kat’s jeans. She undid it and finally pulled away, unaware of how her appearance had altered. She had merely pulled away for permission to continue. She didn’t want to go all the way on the couch, not at all, and she knew there would be a certain point in which she would pull Kat to her bed and draw the curtains on her four-poster. Lucy was sure they were just about at that point.

Lucy hadn’t noticed the change until Kat pointed it out. Her light eyes grew wide at the realization that her hair had actually changed colour. It didn’t appear that any red remained, and it was now completely blonde. She tried to hide her surprise as if this happened all the time, but inside she was somewhat panicking. Was there something wrong with her? Why did this happen? She couldn’t remember taking any sort of potion lately that would have caused such a thing. Instead, she swept her hair over her shoulder and shrugged. “Probably a side effect from Potions class.” 

In all reality, she was more concerned with the girl that she was undressing. The blonde hair would have to wait. It couldn’t be that big of a deal. She nodded enthusiastically at the suggestion. She took Kat’s hand and took her away from the common room and into the girls’ dormitory. Everyone in her year seemed already fast asleep, but if they weren’t, it was their own problem. She brought Kat to her bed that was situated near the door. Lucy removed her shoes and got on the bed first, and then led Kat to do the same before she closed the curtains around her bed. She was swift at removing her own clothes, but in the near dark it was kind of hard to tell anyway.

Instead, she settled with kissing Kat on the top of the head before getting comfortable under the sheets. While, as comfortable as she could get sharing a twin-sized bed with someone else. If this was payment for what had just occurred between the two girls, she was most certainly willing to pay.
