Sirius laid in his bed with his mind racing. When he had returned from the ball he knew for a fact that he had seen a certain Lily Evans in the dress of the girl whom he had danced with - the girl who had been on his mind all night. Even though he was drunk he knew Lily enough to not mistake her for anyone. He had went to bed as his head had ached and his body was fatigued but it was all he could think about. How could it be? Lily Evans made Sirius Black fall for her within minutes and now Sirius had to admit it to himself. He didn't know how she had changed her hair colour or why she had chosen him to dance with - after all, she would have known it was him. He ran a hand through his hair but he couldn't take it anymore. He had to know.He figured the girl would be in the library like she always was. However, when he went down the stairs he immediately saw the redhead reading some fancy looking book at one of the tables. He slid into the seat opposite her and stared at her for a few moments. She certainly was beautiful... maybe he had been in love with her this whole time. Maybe when they were together it was the reason why it felt like they had such a connection. Maybe it was why she had seemed so familiar."How'd you do it?" Sirius asked her accusingly. "How did you change your hair colour? Why did you do it?"He couldn't help but ask her multiple questions in a row. This could change everything. He couldn't do this to James, but he had to know. If he had to live in isolation forever because he fell for the girl his best mate seemed to be in love with, well then so be it. He just had no idea that she felt that way. Their relationship so far had been so incredibly platonic. Sirius had never even considered it before. Well, he had never considered anyone before."You must have known it was me," he went on. "I mean, you looked beautiful, but you don't have to be blonde to grab my attention, I mean Lils, you're beautiful with red hair and ... blimey, I just never expected this, nor from you." He tried to keep his voice low so that no one around would hear what he was saying. He had leaned across the table in order to talk to her. Her perfume was different, but he knew many girls had lots of different perfumes.
