Bellatrix Black sat in the common room, her green eyes actively looking over the room. This was her kingdom, these were her subjects, and she? Well, she was queen of it all. Her arms were draped over the edge of the armchair, her feet tucked underneath her while she watched the fire. It had been quite the eventful February, that much was certain. Things seemed to be finally turning around for the raven-haired Slytherin.
Mindless chatter swirled in the air around her - her housemates already beginning to panic about their upcoming NEWTS and OWLS. Bella wasn’t worried, however, she knew that her future career was already set in stone. She was going to run the world at the right hand of the Dark Lord himself. A smug smile settled on her lips as she blinked in the direction of the fire. He had plans for her, such incredible plans that she couldn’t wait to put into action. The hour seemed to drag on, her quietly sitting and observing everyone as they began to grow tired and sneak up to their dormitories. She remained, though, until it was only her left in the chilly dungeons. At least, it was only her for a few moments before she heard the common room entrance swing open.
The glassy black frame of the fireplace was enough to reflect someone coming into the common room and it didn’t take Bells long to realize who it was. ”Excuse you, Kieran.” She breathed through her teeth as she stared into the fireplace that was in front of her. She knew that it was him - she could practically smell the stench off of his clothes. Finn was one of the Slytherins that she had always kept her eyes on. He was wild and unpredictable and she didn’t like wild and unpredictable. It threatened her position. Perhaps it was about time that someone put him into his place, ”It’s impolite not to say hello. Although, perhaps your parents never taught you about social graces,” Slowly, she turned her head so that she could see him. Looking him up and down and then pausing to stare at the un-manly blonde mop that was on top of his head.
