Azkaban, such a celestially constructed containment center. Rabastan stuck with her the entire way, he could have apparated out, could have left at anytime, but he didn't and she found that odd. Then again he might not of been able to leave considering the wand was now in her possession. Avona looked up at him as she pressed her hand against the only entrance and exit, a faint white glow expanded out allowing her access. The dementors were kept at a distance due to a very powerful ward spell, but if anyone decided to break out of this place the ward would shatter and anyone caught would be kissed. At least that was what Avona was told many times over through her enlistment as an Auror. Quickly she got the young man situated, mugshots, numbers, clothes, everything.
Rabastan pulled a cigarette from his pocket and leaned forward a bit. "If I'm going to be locked in here could I atleast get a light?" The small woman obliged, lit the cancer stick, and also tucked a muggle lighter into his pocket. "So this is home now? Kind of dreary." Shrugging, Rab exhaled the fumes and inspected his surroundings. Some of the people he knew, he grew up with them around. Always at parties with their children or families, and here they sit rotting away.
The petite woman watched as he looked around. "It's a shame that this had to happen to you. If things go the way I want them to you'll only be here for a month, maybe two at max so let those cigarettes last you, they'll be the last for a while unless you can get someone to mail you them, or just write me." Privileges were something Avona had never given anyone else, but the disbelief in the paperwork was what set her on edge. Her mind was riddled with what she found out and to be able to believe a sixth year was capable of necromancy and resurrection, it was outlandish.
"Why are you doing this? I told you that I did it, but what I don't understand is how I was found out. It's not like anyone was running around the school gloating about it, not even Integra knew. Thievery on the other hand, my parents won't be missing their money." Flicking some ash to the ground, Rab sighed and looked around. "Also, I'm not to return to the school am I?"
Ava shook her head. "Just let me handle it and we'll get you out, unfortunately with so much as a note on your record you're expelled, but there is a way you can get what the muggles called a GED. You'll just have to pass the NEWTs after you get out and you'll be awarded the same praise as if you were to have graduated. From what I've read I don't think we'll have to worry about you failing the potions section. Just... keep your head low."
The pair started to make their way through the prison, inmates were curious about the newcomer, but it was hard to ignore the sheer terror on some of their faces when they saw who his escort was. Ava tapped the lock with her wand and looked up at Rab. "I'll be back before the week is out for questioning, just try to turn off your brain until then. I'd hate to see the dementors do a number on you." With her last words the woman was gone. It was as though she apparated, but there was no pop, in reality there wasn't a sound. It startled Rabastan to have her her and then she was gone within a second. He was certain that it wasn't possible to apparate in or out of the prison, but she had, the woman was nowhere in sight.
The ministry was bustling with the news that a student had in fact been arrested on Hogwarts ground. Avona brushed her hair back behind her shoulder and started for her office which was on the second floor of the ministry, but she had to make one pit stop, she had to bring this case up the ladder in order for her to succeed in Rabastan's freedom. Why she was doing this was beyond her, but she knew damn well he didn't deserve to be in Azkaban, not yet anyway.
Taking a hard left she weaved seamlessly through the people as if they weren't there at all. Coming up to a very lavish door the woman lifted her hand and let it connect with the wood panel. "Mr. Ravensdale, could I have a moment of your time?" Her voice, even though feminine, had a sense of power behind it, and she needed to get this moving if she were to bail him out. Especially if any of the other Aurors were going to work on digging up information. Right now she had to keep it all under lock and key, especially before going to the Daily Prophet. Holding a file under her arm that contained a few of the documents from Azkaban she waited for his response.
