ANDROMEDA CASSIOPEIA BLACK-- SIXTEEN -- SLYTHERIN
full name: Andromeda Cassiopeia Black
nicknames: Dromeda, Andy
age: Sixteen
birthplace: Black family manor.
blood-type: Pureblood – Toujours pur.
sexuality: Straight
year/occupation: Sixth year
three words to describe character: Observant, obedient, shrewd.
play by: Willa Holland
It was twilight when she found herself walking the most – whether it was in the castle or outside of it. She loved twilight. In fact, she found herself very often drawn to things that were on the edge between one thing and the other; perhaps it was a reflection of herself. She was the quintessential middle child. Born second of three sisters, Andromeda Black had always found herself teetering between things, almost as though her world was centered on a spinning top threatening to topple over. It was silly, she supposed, because in truth she lived quite the comfortable life. Oh, it wasn’t perfect... but she had money, her family had power, she had grown up in the most elite society the world knew...
And yet she still felt as though she teetered, she still felt tethered to things like twilight, the between-things. Not quite day and not quite night. Andromeda felt like that so often – not quite Bella, not quite Cissy. Somewhere in between the bold, brash sister and the reserved, elegant one. She once had held the belief that she had preferred the between-things because of stories like Goldilocks—the middle of things was always just right, wasn’t it? However, the more she walked at twilight or woke at dawn to sneak upstairs just to watch the sun rise, the more she realized it was something more akin to a feeling of kindred spirits.
It was often that she would happen upon someone else during these dusk walks, because it was a popular time to come across other students who were taking a break from studies or just getting out before curfew – but few disturbed her early morning walks, which often made them her favorite. Andromeda was a social creature, in fact had been taught her social graces from a very young age, but... solitude was a good friend in order to keep sane, she had found. Things were getting so complicated. She was only sixteen – no matter how much part of her wanted to grow up and be free, there was just as much inside her yearning to stay a child, safe and secure in her little bubble of a world.
