There was a knot in her stomach. It had pitted itself deep inside her gut and was now refusing to leave. His whispered words between bell chimes this morning had shaken her a little. "Meet me tonight. After dinner. At the edge of the forest." What was so important that he couldn't just tell her? It had to be something important. Rabastan was private, but he'd never seemed like he did this morning. This was beyond her fathoming capabilities.
One thing was for sure. Integra knew for certain, that no one could know about this. Otherwise he'd have just told her when she snuck up to his dorm in the middle of the night. It was becoming a common occurrence now. And not a sexy occurrence. Integra had learned to depend on him and now woke up in the middle of the night uncomfortable and unable to fall back to sleep. So she was sneaking into the sixth year boy's dorm, not for sex, but to cuddle. Her relationship with Rabastan was possibly the softest and squishiest she could ever be seen; but she knew they where a loathsome duo. However, they were just that. A duo. Since November she'd been attached to him. There was a solid fear of losing him embedded into her brain and she could do nothing to shake it.
As such, she was learning very quickly how to read him. How to predict his actions and sense his thoughts and feelings with just one glance. So today when he urgently requested an exclusively private meeting with her, and she could not figure out what it meant with even a slight hunch, it began to worry her. She was literally sick to her stomach as she crossed through the grounds. The sun was setting making the shadows that danced across the lawns stretch effortlessly without borders. She stuck to them, the hood of her warm cloak drawn over her head. The worst was the chill. Her boots held up against the snow, but the bottom of her cloak was getting wet and her nose was already pink with the bite of Jack Frost. She'd tucked her hands into gloves and worn extra clothes. Thank God she'd thought to or she'd be a statue out here. Frozen solid.
As the tree line of the forest came into view, Integra looked around to be very sure she wasn't followed and ducked into the cover of it's branches. It was only slightly warmer in the thick of the woods, but it was still cold. There was a rolling her stomach and she swallowed. This was far enough inside to stop and she leaned against a tree trying to even out her breath. Someone died. It had to be that. Someone was dead or was going to be dead. Something was deffinitely happening and Integra had a very uneasy feeling about it. The shivering didn't help her nausea. Nor did her loudly chattering teeth. The girl had very little meat on her bones and was cursing him for the cold weather, though it was hardly his fault. Closing her eyes she breathed through the clacking of her jaw and sniffed trying to keep her nerve under control.
