Lily is a very outgoing, bright girl. She enjoys making new friends and because she tends to always see the good in people, it becomes quite natural to her. She is rarely seen mad, only on the occasion that someone has insulted her or someone she cares about. She is fiercely loyal and would do almost anything for those she loved. She enjoys reading, and on those bad days where she gets a mean letter from Petunia she will occasionally prefer the company of books to people.

( HAIR ) :Lily has striking red hair that falls just past shoulder length. She can sometimes be seen with it straightened, but usually it is in loose curls.

It was a warm, happy day. The day itself might not have been
happy, days were rarely happy but Adriana was. It was her last day in
Sgaithte. Her father had finally agreed to let her study at Ioralta and
she was finally going to have the freedom to travel somewhere besides
her home. The one place she had spent all nineteen years of her life in.
Her father had rarely let her outside the castle even inside their own
country, and especially nowhere outside of it. He had spoken about
giants, murderers, rapists and demons. He had told her story after story
to frighten her of the world, but Adriana had let it go in one ear and
out the other. She knew his true reasons for keeping her hidden away.
She knew he didn't want her to taste freedom because then she would be
tempted to run. The possibility was something she toyed with
occasionally. Wondering what it would be like to go out on her own and
being free from someone telling you what to do and when you should do
it. She couldn't imagine being on her own, she couldn't imagine fighting
for food or shelter. Not having someone pour you a bath at the end of a
long day, as spoiled as she knew she sounded it was the truth.

She
had packed most of her belongings the night before. Her father had
spoken to the people at Ioralta and they had agreed to let her in
because of her status. Adriana despised people who used their bloodlines
to get what they wanted, but she had to admit that in this case she was
beyond thankful. She was so excited that she could barely sleep, she
spent the whole night packing and wondering what courses she would be
taking. Her father was clear about wanting her to take nothing that had
to do with fighting and sticking to more " lady-like" courses like the
arts. She had nodded her head, but knew that once she got there the
decision would be hers. For the first time she could decide what she was
going to study and she could do it freely. She wondered about the
students there and it made her nervous. She had never been around many
girls her age, or boys for that matter. She wouldn't even know how to
begin, well hello there...I'm a princess...you've probably never
heard of me, my father kept me mostly locked up. Yea..that doesn't sound
deranged at all she mused to herself. Perhaps she could go through
the courses without making friends, it wouldn't be fun, but she wasn't
there for fun.

Adriana had woken up this morning and
decided to take one last stroll before she told her kingdom goodbye. She
had rarely been able to explore the countryside, but she had been to
the market once and the lake twice with her maids when she was younger.
She had decided that the lake was where she would head first. She
glanced at her father's map in the study and after noting that it wasn't
too horribly far from the castle she waited until her father was
absorbed in a meeting and then left. He had assumed she would be packing
which left her a whole day to explore. She found the small path and
began trailing her way to the lake. Their countryside was not what most
would call "beautiful". It was almost always hot and there wasn't much
more than dragons and sharp rocks, but it was her home and she loved it.
The dragons could be heard at night bellowing to each other which she
supposed scared others, but to her it was soothing, even the wild ones.

After
what seemed like hours she finally came to the clearing and the lake.
It was every bit as beautiful as she remembered it. She quietly looked
around and after she was sure there was no one else there she stepped
out of the woods and walked to where the lake met the earth. She sat
down and put her feet in the cool water. It was another hot day, but she
couldn't help the smile that was on her face. She was one step closer
to a true life.
