( WAND ) : Red Oak -You will often hear the ignorant say that red oak is an infallible sign of its owner’s hot temper. In fact, the true match for a red oak wand is possessed of unusually fast reactions, making it a perfect dueling wand. Less common than English oak, I have found that its ideal master is light of touch, quick-witted and adaptable, often the creator of distinctive, trademark spells, and a good man or woman to have beside one in a fight.
Dragon Heartstring – As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. ( PERSONALITY ) : Theo is a clever, deceptive, and an incredibly observant individual. He’s the type of person who will observe you from afar before he actually comes up and talks to you. He’s judgmental of mudbloods. He’ll judge you by your actions, and he’ll hold those judgments quietly to himself unless you prove him wrong. He was raised to despise mudbloods and as such judges anyone who associates with them, deeming them unfit to associate with. He’s incredibly intelligent, but that’s one of the things he rarely gloats about. He can be manipulative, and like most Slytherins he’ll do what he has to reach his goals. No matter what. He’s not completely without a sense of loyalty, though. He’ll stand by those he calls friends, no matter what, and whenever he gets to where he’s going, he’ll remember those who helped him along the way.

Theo’s someone you can tell your deepest secrets to and he won’t tell another living soul if you don’t want him to. He has no need for drama and gossip, and rolls his eyes and scoffs at the people who surround themselves with it. If it involves his friends, though (which it sometimes does), he’ll be at the center of it to defend whoever’s being attacked. Theo learned to play the guitar over the years, and he adores playing, and even singing, though that’s a talent that very few people know. He’ll use it to woo the ladies if he needs to, and occasionally he can be seen practicing outside under the tree on a nice day. Don’t be fooled, though, while he doesn’t walk around doing the things that your “typical” Slytherin would do he’s a Slytherin to the bone, and he’s not afraid to put you in your place if he needs to.

He thoroughly enjoys dueling and verbal arguments, and he’s quite good at both. He likes people who challenge him, and hates when people underestimate him. He’s always got a quick, biting comment or a wise-ass remark to offer to people, but he’s also full of good advice. Theo’s incredibly protective of those he cares about, especially the women in his life. After witnessing what he did with his mother, he feels it necessary to protect and keep close those who matter to him. He never wants to lose someone that way again, if he can help it.

He’s stubborn. If you get into an argument with him, you’re wrong, and he’s right, even if he’s wrong. That’s just the way he is and there’s no changing it, but he adores arguing, so even though he’s completely pig-headed he’ll still laugh about it afterward. He enjoys playing devil’s advocate for people and getting a rise out of them. He’s a skeptical person. He questions things people tell him, and doesn’t think much on people’s gossip unless he finds it out to be true. He also questions people’s motives all the time, which can make him a bit untrusting of others, but the moment you follow through on your word you have his trust, and if you lose his trust it is impossible to get back. Theo is hard to forgive and never forget.

He’s incredibly impatient, and looks for instant gratification all the time. He hates waiting for things, and he doesn’t like when other people play games with him. He’s completely for playing games with them, though. He will deceive and manipulate to get what he wants, and he’s actually a very good liar. His pokerface is impeccable. Theo also has a very quick temper. Say something to piss him off, or something he doesn’t like and he’ll get really loud really fast. He can be very malicious when he’s angry. He knows exactly what to say to hit you where it hurts. Along those lines, he’s also a smooth talker. He knows what to say when you’re upset, too. Theo can also see thestrals. He’s a very guarded person because of the things he’s gone through and witnessed, and he never lets people fully in at first. Eventually you’ll get there, but there are a lot of layers you need to get through, first.

( HAIR ) : Theo has curly black/brown hair that falls over his ears. Some days it’s downright curly, other days it’s wavy. It’s a bit shaggy, but he likes it that way. He wouldn’t get his hair for anything. He thinks short hair looks awful on him. He even hates to get it trimmed, really, but a guy can only take so much before he has to chop it.
( EYES ) : Theo has dark brown, almond shaped eyes. He has very emotional eyes. You can never tell what he’s thinking by his face, but if you look into his eyes, they reveal everything.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Theo has what most people would call a brooding face. He either looks angry and thoughtful or worried, even if he’s not. He has a medium length nose that sometimes he wishes were smaller on his face, but, overall, he thinks he looks damn good. He sometimes is clean shaven, but most of the time he likes to stay scruffy with a beard.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Theo is a muscular man, most of his weight being muscle. He stands at 5’10 and weighs 150 lbs
( ATTIRE ) : In all honesty, Theo prefers to be shirtless whenever he can. If he’s in the Common Room or his dorm, his shirt is likely off. It’s just not comfortable for him. But when he’s out places he’ll be in jeans and an open neck t-shirt, if it’s not his robes.

( HISTORY ) : Theo was on a hot summer day to his parents, Cecelia and Theodore Nott Sr. who had both graduated Hogwarts a year earlier. He was born practically directly after his older brother Io. Why in the hell they’d decided to name his brother Io and him Theo is something Theo’s never been sure of or understood. Did they think it was cute? It wasn’t… His parents’ marriage was an arranged one between the families, but they seemed to care for each other enough. They’d been told in their sixth year that they were to be married, and subsequently began dating as soon as they heard. Cecelia had gotten pregnant while still at Hogwarts with Io, and spent almost all of her seventh year back and forth from the hospital wing to make sure things were okay with Io. But women need a lot of attention, and pureblood marriages aren’t built on love or caring or affection – they’re built on the power of your name. The marriage between Caecelia and Theodore Sr. began to fizzle slowly, but by the time Theodore Sr. even realized it Caecelia Avery was already out feasting on other men who would take her. And so she became pregnant again, but this time it wasn’t with Theodore Nott Sr.

Theo was seven when the Dragon Pox came and took his mother away before any of the men in the house could see it coming. One day she was there and three days later she was gone, and there had been nothing Mungo’s could do for her. Caecelia had loved Theo with everything she had. Perhaps she loved him so much because he was the child born out of love and attraction, not money and power. Caecelia had had conceived Theo with someone she cared for, not someone she was arranged to like. His brother and father hated him for it because they saw him as the black sheep of the family. Especially when his dark, curly hair stood out immensely to his brother’s and father’s lighter hair. It was especially a slap in the face for Theodore Sr. because he shared a name with Theo, the child that wasn’t his. Theo has never met his real father, and he has no idea who he is or where he is. Since his mother’s death Theo has been treated like rubbish from his father and brother. There have been times when not a word was spoken between Theo or the other two for upwards of three months. Theo didn’t care. In fact, he thought it was easier that way. If he didn’t talk to them he didn’t have to worry about getting hit or stunned or whatever else his dad thought would be funny to throw at him that night.

Theo began attending Hogwarts at the age of eleven and was easily sorted into Slytherin house. Being born and raised by family of such prejudice and stature, it was a natural fit. He was so thankful for Hogwarts because it got him away from that prick he’s forced to call a father, though he was still stuck with his brother, which was a curse in itself. Still, his home life remained quiet until he was about 12. It was then that his father started spouting off insults without provocation and began stunning Theo when his back was turned. But Theo has never been the kind of person to take anything lying down (except for maybe a good blowjob or shag now and then). So he invested himself heavily into potions and defense against the dark arts, and he found that he not only loved those subjects, but he was damn good at them, too. He learned to not only defend himself, but how to attack without leaving trace of evidence. He put a vile here and there in his father’s food containing just enough poison to make him sick, but not enough to send him to Mungo’s or kill him. And his father was suspicious, but there was no way to prove anything, so Theo just flashed his father a shit-eating grin and told him to go fuck himself. His brother graduated from Hogwarts last year and for Theo it has truly been a breath of fresh air. Hogwarts truly feels like his place now, something his brother and father cannot touch.

In his third year Theo became a beater for Slytherin house, finding he needed something ‘constructive’ to put all of his anger into. He loves playing Quidditch and makes sure he’s on the top of his game for each game, but he doesn’t plan to pursue it professionally. Theo has had several flings here and there but has never been able to find a girl he can tolerate for more than a little while. However, that doesn’t mean he’s not looking. A relationship, for Theo, is a bit enticing. He likes the idea of having someone to call his and his alone, but being as guarded as he is can sometimes prevent a problem. So, until the right girl comes along, Theo’s fine with taking whatever he can get from women.
