((I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO USE THIS GIF FOR FOREVER))
”Please do not disturb me while I am working-” Alastor’s voice rang through the small office on the corner of the Auror’s floor as the small and boyish secretary opened the door. He didn’t even have to look up to see who it was. He could practically smell the stench of her tuna sandwich wafting off of her body, coupled with the slightest prickle of sweat. Because there was only one person in the entire office that would eat tuna in a crowded area because of her distinctive love for the fish, Moody could ascertain that it was Ms. Callahan, the secretary that manned the desk at the front of the Auror department. The woman undoubtedly had rushed through her lunch and was now anxious about disturbing Moody in his office, of that much he was certain.
”A letter-” The woman breathed as she scooted forward and placed a sealed letter upon his desk and then proceeded to back out of the room. When he heard the satisfying sound of the lock snapping back into place, Alastor put down the magnifying glass that was in his hand and snatched up the letter, sliding his hand in-between the seal and the parchment and subsequently ripping it open. His dark eyes began to scan the words that were written on the top in monotonous script.Meyers. Meyers. Why did that name sound so familiar? Alastor immediately put his finger to his lips, trying to figure out where he had heard it before, ”Ah!” He practically yelled as he slammed the letter down against the table and then stood up, his tall frame now looming over the table as he continued to read.TO: Alastor L. Although reading Ministry letters could often be tedious bits of code, Moody was well-versed in their manners of information transfer. It was obvious that he was meant to accompany Ava Giovanni on her expedition to assess Markus Meyers’ current situation as a Ministry Auror gone rogue. Pulling the collar of his trench up a little higher to block out some of the wind, Alastor finally reached the doors that led into Hogwarts. He pushed them open and entered, his coat billowing out around him as the brisk air from outside met the warm air that was sheltered on the inside.
There were so many of them; so many strange little eyes peering at him from the edges of the Entrance hall, all watching the man as he took a few more steps into the building. Oh yes, Moody immediately wanted to take up his wand and transfigure them all into something that would better suit their actions right now, because they were all such staring little creatures. Tearing his eyes from one of the open-mouthed children, he shook his head and made a sharp left turn, moving down the dungeon corridor and stopping in front of one of the chambers that was to his left.
”Ms. Giovanni.” He knocked once and then pushed the door open, stepping inside to the room that had apparently become their central intelligence location for the time that they were around the castle.
