Alexander walked slowly though the large doors of the castle. This place was nothing like his old school. It was bigger, much bigger, and older too. He looked around. There was a massive staircase in front of him, and what seemed to be a large set of doors to the right. He stood there confused for a moment. Zander had no idea where he was supposed to go, nor who he was supposed to talk to.
He had just transferred in. Fresh of the boat, as they would say back in Canada. Zander was nervous, and tired. He had travelled most of the day to get to the new school, and now he had no idea what to do next. His old Head Master had assured him that Hogwarts would be expecting him, Zander has assumed that someone would have met him at the train, but all he found there was a message to take a carriage to the school. Upon arrival Zander has hoped to find a staff member waiting for him, but he was dropped off at the school gate to an empty path. The strong young man had carried all of his things up the path and into the castle himself. He had no trouble carrying everything, he just wished he knew where he was going.
The young man sat on his trunk, his long legs stretched out in front of him. Nothing to do but wait. With any luck a teacher, or staff member would come by and help him out. If all else failed, Zander was sure that there would be a student who could at least point him to the Head Master's office. As he sat, Zander let his thoughts drift to home, his old home back in good ole Canada. It would be icy cold there now, snow everywhere. He sighed as he thought back to all the good times he had there. Hopefully here would be just as good but Zander didn't know anyone, and if the people here spoke anything like the ones in London then he would be the odd one out accent wise. It was easy to tell where Alexander was from when her spoke. His accent was heavy, and he had a hard time understanding some of the terms used here. The fist time he needed a bathroom, he couldn't figure out who Lou was, or what he needed to ask him about a bathroom.
Zander was pulled from this thoughts at the sound of the school bell. He smiled, maybe now someone would happen by, and he wouldn't be left sitting on his trunk all night.
