Kat sat uncomfortably on the cot. She hated the hospital wing, it was cold, and had no colour. Two things Kat hated. She cringed as her head started to sting again, the wing was bustling for a Thursday afternoon. Kat couldn't remember I time that she had seen so many injured or sick people. She raised her hand to her forehead to see if see was still bleeding. It was unusual for Kat to injure herself, but when she did, she always seemed to do a really good job. The gash in her forehead was about two inches long and rather deep. A nice purple colour had formed around the length of the cut.
Kat had been in potions class when a cauldron behind her exploded and scared the poor girl half to death. Kat had screamed and dropped to the ground in her usual defensive stance. But the hot cauldron fell right off the desk and onto her head. The top had been damaged by the blast and the piping hot sharp edge ran across the girls forehead. It didn't hurt much at first, but Kat attributed that to the shock of it. Needless to say, Kat was carted off the hospital wing faster than she could say bobs your uncle.
So there she sat, waiting for her turn to see a doctor, or nurse. Kat had never actually been in the hospital wing before, so she wasn't sure what to expect. Most of the beds were full when she got there, she was handed a bunch of gauze to hold on her head and sat on a bed upon arrival, so that is where she stayed. If only she had someone to talk to , the chap that took her down left right away and she was starting to feel lonely and sick due to the pain. A sharp pain shot across her forehead and tears started to leak from her eyes. She tried her best to hold them back. She was a Gryffindor for heavens sake, she wasn't supposed to cry. But the pain was getting to be too munch and Kat just wanted someone to comfort her.
