( PERSONALITY ) :
Alastor Moody is brilliant. To describe him as anything less would be an insult to all of humanity. Considered the greatest Auror of all time by the ripe age of thirty one, Moody has made it his personal mission to explore the deep realms of dark magic and seek out all those who are at the opposite end of the spectrum. He’s a genius - an obsessive and determined genius verging on the edge of a mental snap - but a genius just the same. People constantly seek outs his attention at the Ministry, hoping for a rare glimpse into the life that is Alastor’s, but rarely does he have time for that. There is nothing worse to the man than knowing that evil is out there in the Wizarding World. His pursuit and capture of Dark Wizards has become all consuming. He easily spends hours staring at his notes; losing track of time, forgetting to eat, and leaving him an unstable gentleman.

He is a master of both offensive and defensive spells, which comes as no surprise since his parents are both retired Aurors. Alastor comes across as unfriendly...however, this isn’t necessarily the case. He has been bred to understand the dangers of emotions and emotional compromise and has thusly learned to keep his emotions at a very far distance. He finds that he needs to keep a level head because Alastor feels as if the weight of the world is upon his shoulders.

He’s not very good with other people - often finding it very hard to relate to others and their own personal struggles. He can come off as very rude to those who he considers to be beneath him, or to those who come between him and his work. There really isn’t room for many friendships in Moody’s eyes, except for perhaps with Albus Dumbledore, the man that he has idolized from his early years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy.

( HAIR ) : Brown hair that is slightly longer and generally curly. Alastor doesn’t take much care in keeping it well tamed and will often let it do whatever it wishes.
( EYES ) : A striking shade of blue, Al’s eyes are large and always curious in nature.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : CHEEKBONES. Those cheekbones are high and chiseled and one of the most prominent features of his face.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Due to his job as an Auror, Alastor is muscular, although it normally doesn’t show in his outfits of choice - heavy trenches and large boots. He’s tall - reaching about 6’3” and towers over most people in the Ministry.
( ATTIRE ) : Trench coats, button downs, trousers, and boots. Alastor is constantly prepared to go out and do whatever field work he is assigned to do, even at a moments notice.

( HISTORY ) :
Odetta and Azazel Moody met in the field; both searching out a Dark Wizard by the name of Grindewald in their young years, they fell in love along the chase. Two aurors, both exceptionally talented and driven. They married when they were young and not soon after, they gave birth to a son, Alastor Lachlan Moody. Born to the Moody Aurors, it was no surprise that Alastor was going to be born of greatness even before he reached his prime age. His parents resigned from their esteemed positions, believing that the line of fire was no place to raise their young child, although, they never abandoned their aggressive and driven attitudes.

He was an only child and grew up hanging on the every words of his parents. He heard them spin tales from their younger days when they were Aurors and immediately fell in love with the profession. He picked up spells from them as time went on - watching them duel in their spare time when they were feeling particularly bored and in need of some relaxation. Moody also had a lot of time to himself, where he learned to observe his surroundings and learn as much as he could from them.

At Hogwarts, he was aptly sorted into Gryffindor where he flourished as a brave young man that he had always thought himself to be. He was considered attractive, athletic, driven, and quite frankly one of the best Wizards Hogwarts had ever seen. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that he would be head boy when he finally came of age - which happened to be true. Underclassmen always sought out his attention, hoping to catch a rare glimpse into his personal life, but he didn’t often have time for a social life. He spend most of his time practicing Defense Against the Dark Arts, playing Quidditch, and spending time with Dumbledore himself (whom he considers to be his hero).

Upon graduation, it was no surprise that Moody was readily accepted into the Auror training program, where he continued to flourish. He was the top of his class, excelling in nearly every task that they put in front of him. And, in a few years, he graduated and took a position in the Auror department. Obsessed with his cases, Alastor was observant and focused when it came to his work. People admired him, and yet found him strikingly rude when they came into personal contact with him. Many people think that he’s on the brink of a mental breakdown, but the man refuses to relent.
