Exhaling a breath she had realized she had been holding; Adeline nodded in assurance. She wanted to help him learn as well, but that was everything about her. Benjamin Myers was her first boyfriend as well and she was very glad that the two of them had come together. Not to mention she was surprised that they were so close after such a short amount of time. If her mother or father knew the things that had happened between the two of them hell would have frozen over. "That sounds nice, later tonight you and I could work on those offensive spells a little. I think the girls in my dorm are off to astronomy anyway that will give us some space to work on stuff. Anyway, potions..." After he looked over the ingredients within the mortar, she exhaled in relief as he said they were perfect.
This was where things got a little dicey. Adeline had never carried a strong suit in math. She was horrible at it. Even though the marks in Arithmancy were decent she struggled, but at least she couldn't screw up to the point of melting a cauldron. Who melts cauldrons anyway? Looking into the bottles she noticed the different hue and nodded. Colors were good for her, but if it was written down all the better. "Okay... two drops of number one..." Pulling out the small liquid baster she pulled in enough of the substance to gather two drops. Holding it in her hand her nerves were wreaking havoc all over her. "I hate this part, potions are so particular. I wish it was as easy as Vincent makes pizza making look." With intense focus she let two drops fall and pulled away quickly as another was about to fall in, but she managed to get it on the table.
"Well that was close." She giggled and put the remaining ingredients that happened to be in the small tube back into it's rightful bottle. "Now three drops of number two... three drops of this light green colored one. Okay." Grabbing another small dapper she filled it and followed his directions nearly messing it up again by adding four drops, once again narrowly missing the small bowl. "Far to precise. You make it look like you're just filling it with water and I have to actually focus on it. I mean. Two drops here three drops there. When I watch Briar cook he just throws in handfuls of stuff without measuring. I don't know how he does it and it always tastes good, but here... I feel like a moron." Shifting her lips a little Adeline look down at the small bowl. "So now we wait? Or can I just dump it in?"
