Benji smiled as Addie disappeared to go and get the rest of the group, the four of them had decided to go Christmas shopping. Scanning the Ally, he tried to decide where the best place to get Addie's present would be. He had only worked up the nerve to ask her out a week earlier and he wanted to get her the perfect gift. He leaned against one of the shops as he waited. Getting to Diagon Ally was easier than he thought it would be. The foursome had headed for Hogsmead and then found a place out of sight. Addie was apparating them one by one to the Ally, being the only one of them who could dependably apparate and disapparate. They could be in a heap of trouble if they were caught, but the group had weighed the options ad decided that the trip would be worth it.

The Ally was buzzing with people, as expected on a Saturday this close to the holidays. The ground was dusted with snow and a cold wind blew up the Ally. The street was filled with people moving quickly about trying to go about their business. Mothers with young children were in high amount. Benji pulled the collar of his coat up around his neck and tightened his scarf a little. The wind was chilled and had begun to sting his skin a little. He was dressed in a sleek black coat, warm but fashionable, under it he wore his favourite green sweater and a short sleeved shirt. Dark jeans and back winter boots finished off the look. He was trying to look as adult a possible as to not draw attention to himself while he waited for his friends. Looking around the street once more Benji noted the location of a couple of clothing stores. He had never shopped for a girl before, and Addie was not just a girl. She was his girlfriend, Benji sighed, he had not idea what to get her. It was times like this that he wished his mother was still around, she would have know what to suggest.

He adjusted his stance against the wall and continued to watch the people. All of them were so rushed, none were smiling. Benji even thought he saw a woman almost in tears. Where was the holiday spirit? He shook his head and smiled, he was terribly excited about the holiday this year. He was going to Italy with his friends, it was going to be great. His father was not pleased when Benji told him that he, like last year, wasn't coming home. Not that it really mattered, Markus would be working anyway. Benji hadn't told him a bout Addie yet, he had planned to, but Benji just hadn't found the right time yet.

Then he heard the familiar swoosh of an appration and turned to see Addie and Cait standing beside him. "Welcome to Diagon Ally!" He beamed, happy to have some company. Addie vanished again to grab Eddie, leaving Cait and Benji standing in the street. Benji decided to take advantage of the alone time with Cait, "Hey Cait," He said looking at his feet, "I need your help with something." He smiled lightly and turned to the girl " I am not exactly the best at buying presents, and I want to get Addie something really nice but everything I think of seems cliché or dumb... help a guy out with a girls perspective?"

Cait's outfit! Because I could and I really like winter wear!!

Winter was one of Caitlin's top four favorite seasons. She was a firm believer in the idea that eight existed. Winter, Wing, Spring, Sprummer, Summer, Sumall, Fall, and Finter. But Caitlin loved the snow. And what she loved even more than that, were all the cozy coats and hats and mittens and scarves that were associated with Winter time. She'd dug out her heavy coat for the afternoon of shopping even! In her opinion, Cait had the best friends anyone could ever imagine. Addie was even taking the risk of getting in some serious trouble, just to get them all back into Diagon Alley. Eddie seemed like he was freezing though he'd bundled just as well. So once Addie had disappeared with Benji, the petite girl took her chance and pulled the boy close to her for a very quick snog.

When Adeline reappeared, Cait merely giggled, let go of Eddie's face and stepped away with the girl she was most recently calling her friend. Maybe that would warm him up. If not the memory of her might keep him company while he was waiting. There had only been one other time she'd apparated. It had been with her father, and she was in too much pain to remember most of it. Now it felt like she was going to be squeezed to death. But it was over soon, and the girl waved her mitten clad hand to Benji who'd been waiting. They thought it was safer to put the boys on the end so there was never a girl left by their lonesome. What gentlemen.

Cait had not, however, expected Benji to come forward looking for a favor, and responded to him with a warm and admiring, 'awww'. She grinned up at him before giving him a hug. "That is so cute! O' course I'll 'elp ya!!" There was a muffled sound as she clapped her hands together. "We'll pick out somethin' perfect. I promise." Giving the boy a wink, Cait covered her mouth and nose with her hands and breathed into them trying to keep her nose from freezing over. When Addie and Eddie popped back into the alley, Caitlin waved at them excitedly "We're over here!! Hey maybe we should all go for cocoa at some point? And some lunch???" Anything hot sounded nice at this point, but despite the cold, Caitlin was just glad for some time with her favorite people.

I actually made an outfit!

Adeline Giovanni was beat upon bringing the last of her friends to Diagon Alley. "We're here, we're alive." She smiled brightly hoping that the ministry didn't catch on that she was apparating without a license. What did it matter? When she turned seventeen next month she would surely be getting her permission slip that it was legal. What was that? Eleven or twelve some odd days from now? Smiling at the group, Addie caught her breath and looked around Diagon Alley. "If my dad found out that I had snuck off campus, I'm going to be in a royal world of hurt." That was where she envied Joram. He was allowed to do all sorts of things without facing the consequences, but it didn't matter. They were here now and here is where they would stay until they were done. Addie stepped over to Benji a little ways and pulled out a list of people she needed to shop for. Caitlin, Eddie, Benji, Vincent, Her parents and even Vincent's parents made it. There were loads of names on the list as Christmas was a very important holiday to her.

"How about." Addie looked at the small watch she had wrapped around her wrist and smiled. "We meet in front of Gringott's in a couple of hours? Say, one in the afternoon?" Pulling on her black scarf lightly and making certain the belt of her jacket was secure. Addie breathed in the cold air and smiled with a grin a mile long. "Granted, before we go anywhere I'm getting a cup of tea. There is no possible way I'm going to be in and out of the cold without a hot beverage. Also. If you guys have things you don't want to carry, I charmed my purse to fit a bunch of stuff into it." Rubbing her bare hands together Addie looked around at the stores that lined Diagon. "But first, I need to go pull out some money. You guys are more than welcome to come with."

The small heel of her boot clicked on the stony path as she waited for an answer. She really did need some more money, especially if she was shopping for her dad and Benji. Apparently in the last week he had finally made his way up to her top three favorite guys of the year. First is was Roderick, her father, followed by Benjamin Myers who was tied with her brother, Oliver. "Oh, I just realized that we're about two hours from my house. But, I'm going to shut up about that for a while because I'll just make myself homesick."

Good God was it ever cold! It was so cold, you could see your breath in the air! What possessed humans to ever move this far north? Crazier still, why weren't they hibernating?! All the other animals in the area had dug warm little burrows and retreated into trees to try and wait out the bitter winter- but oh no! Not human! Instead they gallivanted around out in the knee high frozen rain and even made up silly little utensils to help them traverse and play in an environment they had not evolved to live in! Why do you think human's were equipped with thick fur coats like bears and wolves? because they weren't supposed to be here!

Eddie Muler shivered under his three layers of wool and popped the collar on this grey pea-coat to help keep the wind of his exposed neck. His wild hair had been flattened under a strange knit tuque that Ezra had given him, and without his curls to distract the eyes, it was apparent that the boy had a very long neck that was hard to keep covered. He had managed to wrap his scarf around his neck three times before he ran out of length, but there was still a bare patch of skin the stuck out between the hat and the scarf than made him shiver when the wind hit it. He stuck his hands- which were covered not only by thin gloves, but a pair of fingerless flip-top mittens- under his arm pits to keep them warm and bounced about, anxiously waiting for Addie to return and bring them to the confined area of the busy shopping streets.

"I'm cooooold" the boy whined pathetically to his girlfriend, who didn't seem phased by the weather. He didn't understand it! What did these Brits have that made them so frost resilient? there had to be a secret they, the Russians and the Canadians weren't telling the rest of the world. Maybe it was all the malt liquor; maybe it really did put hair on the chest.... metaphorically speaking, of course, because imagining his girl friend with a hair chest really didn't do much for him, and he would rather forget that image. Cait took pity on the poor boy though, and their lips met for a few heated kisses. He took the favour happily, and was reluctant to let her go when Adeline came back for her. He pulled her back for one more kiss before she left, and then he was alone.

This bit felt like it went on forever. The warmth of where Cait had lingered was sucked away by that bitter wind all too soon, and Eddie was forces to fall back on physical exertion to keep his limbs from succumbing to frost bite. Knee deep in snow, Eddie started bouncing about on his toes, eventually breaking out into a full on jig, stiffed only by the lack of movement his thick clothing would allow for. He sang quick notes quickly, mimicking the tap dancing methods of Fred Astaire he had watched on loop one summer. He continued dancing, even as her heard the little pop of Addie coming back into his area. He left her hanging for a moment, before twirling quickly and holding out his hand for her to take. Then, with a deep breath, there was a gut wrenching stretching feeling, and the dead was done.

"Diagonally, eh?" the boy looked around the busy streets on the market, taking in the strange sight of the new area. " Man, I love wizard hubbubs!" He smiled cheekily at Addie, and then patted the girl on the back. "That's a lot Addie! you're a real sweetie, you know that?" He sneaked his arm around hers and linked the crooks of their elbows, leading her off towards the others. once back in a group, Eddie immediately skedaddled closer to Cait- hands in his pockets- for warmth.

"Hey maybe we should all go for cocoa at some point? And some lunch???"

"I'm definitely going to need something warm." Eddie agreed, needing something to keep his mouth and hands preoccupied so that he didn't resort to smoking around Addie. He had this weird feeling she was the type that was upset by that kind of thing. "A tea or a cider would be nice right about now. Warm me up from the inside out!" He sang the last line through gritted teeth and shivered.

"Wait, we're not splitting up, are we?" Eddie asked quickly, a little worried. "You guys do know this is my first time here, right?" The foreigner laughed, "I don't know where anything is! Someone's gotta lead me around." he listened to Addie, and then patted his pocket of galleons in agreement, "Yeah, no, definitely hit up a bank first. I'm gonna need a bit more cash then this."

He smiled at Cait's answer, it would be nice to have a girls opinion on things. Benji continued to eye the street as the two waited on Addie and Eddie. Benji smiled when the familiar pop filled the air. Addie and Eddie strolled up and the group was complete. Benji moved closer to Addie as the group talked about what to do. Cait wanted food, and Eddie seemed to like that idea too. Benji liked the idea of hot liquid and it seemed everyone was on the same page about it.

As Addie checked over her list Benji took a moment to get a good look at what she was wearing. He needed to know what styles she was into in order to gage what to get her. Addie finished with her list and mentioned the bank. Benji reached into his pocket to pull out his money. Noticing that he was getting short, he agreed that the bank was a good place to start. If his father was good at anything, it was supplying him with money. "The bank is a great place to start," he voiced shoving his money back in his pocket, "Then we can hit a café for tea before we start to shop," Benji reached down and took Addie's hand as he started to walk toward the bank.

"You live close to here?" Benji looked at Addie, "I didn't know that," He smiled, and squeezed her hand a little but didn't push the subject. He didn't want her to feel home sick either.

"Wait, we're not splitting up, are we?"

"How else could we shop for each other?" Benji looked over his shoulder at Eddie, "We have to split up....oh wait!" Benji stopped and spun both him and Addie around to face Eddie and Cait, "We can go in pairs, and then switch partners after lunch!" Benji smiled at his friends, "So, who wants to go with who first?"

"I call Benji!!" Giving the lads a smile, Caitlin, though sticking close to her own boyfriend, gave the other boy a wink and grinned. "Lets all go get something to drink an' warm our souls or what e'er and then we'll split, yeah??" The girl rattled her pocket around a little listening carefully to the clinking sound. She had plenty of money. Besides, her shopping for Eddie was already half done. There were tons of people to look at thought and she found herself glancing around for a while almost ignoring the others for a minute while they tried to work out a schedule.

Taking a breath, Caitlin looked back at Eddie. Something about the bustle always made her feel so distracted. But the talk of home was something that made her both happy and a little sad. "I wish I could see my family for Christmas. Or that I lived close. This will be my first holiday without them. Ever." It hadn't seemed so bad before, but seeing all the people together and thinking about just where she was in this giant world made it seem a little lonely. Then she thought about how Eddie must feel. He was even farther from home than she was. The thought made her want to hug him and her mitten clad hand found his.

This was her new family. A little smile crept across her face as she looked at their little inner circle. Family didn't mean blood to her. It never had. So if the three of them were her new family, Cait was more than okay with that and would do anything in her power to make them happy and to take care of them. Yesterday, was the most electric day of her life. She'd never felt closer to anyone than the way she felt about Eddie now. And Benji and Addie had quickly made a home in her heart.

Licking her lips, Caitlin stood on her toes to kiss Eddie's cheek. "C'mon, kids. Let's all go get warmed up a bit first." The girl knew the string of shops very well and tugged Eddie along with her into a quiet little cafe. It was a little busier than normal due to the high traffic flow of the holiday, but they made their way to the counter and Caitlin looked back at her friends. "I'll have one hot chocolate, please. And... anything they want." Her mittened hand fumbled around with the coins but she eventually let two galleons hit the counter.

Adeline rubbed her hands together just glad to be in Diagon Alley, it was one of her most favorite places especially since Christmas was coming. Christmas was her favorite season, it always has been and will forever be. It was a time she used to spend with her family in their large house, but this year was just like last year. Even though her Parents couldn't be there she was surrounded by the Mortelle's like nothing ever happened. Sometimes they would drop in for a few moments to wish her a good morning and share breakfast, but that was it.

After looking over her list, Addie's blue eyes scanned the area around them, hyper-aware of the people that surrounded them. Soon Benji's hand was in her and she smiled at the mention of the bank. "Bank, always a good thing. And yep. I live about two hours north in Ipswich." She smiled and looked over at him brightly. She loved her house more than anything and loved the thought of just staying there and not going back to Hogwarts, but that wouldn't help her with the desires of becoming an Auror. "Actually, I think we should switch partners. Edds and I will go with each other while you and Cait go?" Caitlin piped up near the middle of her sentence. Insane was the only word used to describe Cait, at least that was what Addie thought. "We all in agreement?"

The schedule had been figured out and she shrugged. "Looks like we're going to get something warm before the bank, I'm okay with that." Stepping up to the counter on Cait's other side and pulled out her money. "Cait don't worry about it, save the money for shopping." Smiling she pushed the Galleons back and smiled. "I'll have a cup of earl grey if you would please, and two packets of honey. With a slice of that pumpkin loaf." Breads were a weakness, Adeline loved baked sweets, not candy mostly, that only consisted of gummi worms and the occasional pack of bears, but give the girl a honey bun and she'll be set for life. "So after we switch boyfriends, I think you and I should go out shopping Cait." Adeline smiled as she made an effort to have more social interactions. On a normal day she wouldn't have even considered apparating to Hogsmeade and shopping for her friends.

"I mean, if that's alright with the boys." With a shrug she looked back at Benji and to Eddie. "Are you guys going to get something hot to drink and a snack to tide you over? Even though Cait wants to pay, I'm not going to let her." With a laugh, she pulled out four galleons figuring it would be roughly a galleon per person.

"Couples would work!" Eddie smiled happily, and opened his mouth to claim Cait, just as she opened her's to claim Benji. Eddie turned to Cait with an blatant look of hurt on his face, then laughed at the situation. "Oh, I see how it is Cait. Fine... I guess Blue and I will have to just have all the fun without you guys!" he laughed, squeezing Cait's shoulders to show that he didn't mind. Once he stepped back from the situation, he realised why it was important for the group to split up- didn't want to have to hide your purchases from everyone- but he was sure glad they hadn't decided on letting him wander aimlessly through the busy streets!

He felt a clump of wool, that was Cait's mitten, work its way into his hand, and it made him smile. He gave it a squeeze as he listened to her talk. "This is your first Christams away from your family? We're gonna have to make sure it's extra special then so that you don't get all sad on us." He said sweetly, really hoping he would be able to do just that. Despite all of Caitlin's suggestions on what to get her for the holiday, Eddie still had no idea what to get her, or even where to start. Addie and Benji had been so easy to figure out! Why wasn't Cait the same? Everything he thought of didn't seem good enough. A simple kiss from his little miss was enough to wipe his mind clean for the moment though, and he let himself get dragged off toward the little coffee shop.

Inside the shop was warm and cozy, and Eddie could see himself spending the whole day here with a book while they shopped, if they would let him. Of course, he knew that wasn't an option. At least He was gonna have Addie as a shopping partner. Maybe she had some good ideas on what to get a girlfriend for a present. Cait stepped up to the counter to pay for all their things- which didn't feel right- But Addie quickly pushed her away and offered her own money to pay the tab- which still didn't feel right, but at least she was rich. Eddie shrugged, taking the slight hesitation from the rest of the group as an opportunity to make his order. He slid up to Addie at the counter and smiled sweetly at the clerk.

"Hi! Could I get a green tea with... urrr... a pumpkin bread?" he wasn't sure what they had, so he had followed Addie's lead. He thought that he might need the carbs as the day wore on, so it would be a good idea to add bread to the small amount of rations he always kept in his bag. "thank you!"

"I think that's a good idea Blue." He smiled down at the girl as he stepped aside, making room for the next person to order, "Benji and I will need some time together to go over our notes on what girls like and stuff. Oh! And thanks for the food! I'll get it next time, eh?" He grinned, giving the girl a nudge with his hip, and taking his order as it was offered to him.

This is what he is wearing

Benji shrugged at Cait led them to the Café. The pairs Addie suggested worked fine for him. Cait had already agreed to help him pick a gift. He also had to find Addie's birthday gift. He knew what he wanted to get her, he just needed to find it. The warmth of the café was more than welcomed as the group moved inside from the cold. As Cait ordered Addie suggested that they switch partners after half their time. It would put him and Eddie together. Benji smiled at the idea. Ed could help him pick a gift for Cait, Benji really had no idea what to get her.

"Are you guys going to get something hot to drink and a snack to tide you over? Even though Cait wants to pay, I'm not going to let her."

Adeline's voice pulled him from his thoughts. Smiling he approached the counter. "I'll have a hot chocolate please," He glanced at the assortment of goodies, "and a slice of pumpkin bread." He smiled at Addie, "Thanks Sweets". After receiving his order, Benji scanned the room for a place to sit. At first the place looked packed, but he managed to spot a small table in the back of the room. "I see a table guys," He pointed to the table but chose to wait for Addie before heading for it.

Once everyone was ready they headed for the table. Benji placed his snack at his place and pulled out Addie's chair for her before taking his seat. He held his cocoa in his hands to warm them as he inhaled the sweet scent of chocolate. He was usually a tea drinker, but for some reason a hot cocoa sounded really good when Cait ordered it. "So," he turned his attention to the group, "What is our timing going to be?" They had to be sure that they were home well before curfew, the last thing they needed was to be caught.

Cait looked up quickly, "And a cinnamon roll.... with the frosting..." She gave a little grin and looked to Addie as she butted in to pay. Wrinkling her nose at the girl Cait thought to protest but knew she would never win and reduced to collecting her cocoa and cinnamon roll as the other's ordered. This was going to be great. She could help Benji and shop for Addie at the same time, then switch and shop with Addie for Benji while she picked up the last few things she needed for Eddie. She was glad this was so smooth but she wasn't sure what to get Addie. The gift she'd arranged for her birthday was hiding in the green house in a bucket full of blue water. No one would suspect a thing.

The girl idly toyed with the front of her boyfriend's jacket as they waited for the rest of the orders. "I'm sure this christmas is gonna be amazin'. I know you'll make it tha best. I think a lot of us are gonna be away from home this year. Tha Mortelle's are gonna have a heck of a time tryin' ta make it perfect for all of us. I know I'll miss Mum and Da, but I'm glad you'll be there." The girl grinned up at him from looking at one of his buttons and pecked another little kiss to his nose before looking over her shoulder as Benji mentioned a table.

Cait happily followed Benji to the table, pulling her legs up to sit criss-cross on her seat. The cinnamon roll was warm and gooey just like she liked them. The cocoa was sprinkled with peppermint sprinkles and whipped cream that stuck to her nose when she sipped it. This made her giggle but it looked silly and she left it there. Her mittens lay in balls on her lap as her little fingers unwound the sugary goodness and popped bits into her mouth. When Benji mentioned a time frame she checked her watch. "I say..." she swallowed a bit and looked up at them, whipped cream nose and all "We go ta tha bank, then give us ... 'bout an hour... hour thirty tops? Before we meat back up for lunch. Switch, and then another hour to hour thirty?"

Adeline smiled over at Cait as she mentioned a cinnamon roll, with frosting. Benji and Eddie both seemed to follow her lead when it came to food, but she and Eddie seemed to be the only two who cared for a cup of tea. Green tea was something she hadn't been too fond up, and earl grey was just sweet enough she didn't have to add much. "It's not a problem, really." Adeline beamed as soon as everything was done and paid for. "And don't worry about it Eds."

Gathering her things, Addie took a seat next to Benji and looked out the window at the wintery atmosphere. It was her favorite time of year, and who ever wanted to interrupt her peace they would be damned for all eternity. A grin spread across her face at a thought that had crossed her mind. Could she be doing this in the future, sitting in this same cafe on this same day watching the snow fall shopping for her own kids? It wasn't too far-fetched, was it? Still she stared out the window as she took a few sips of her hot tea and was brought back into reality for a moment.

"Timing? Oh right... sorry." Shaking her head her eyes focused on Caitlin as she began to speak about hours and halves of hours. Closing her eyes for a moment , Addie just let the warmth sink into her skin. Timing, was the timing right? Could she afford to have a boyfriend right now? Could she take the NEWTs early? Was it possible to take them in someone's sixth year? She didn't see why not, but when she turned to Benjamin Myers, she felt as though she could do anything. He was here and he supported her, that was all she could have asked.

Again her mind drifted to a conversation she had with Eddie in private, it consisted of marriage and a number of other things. Edds had filled her in on how, not-opposed Benji had been even if it was just a fantasy. This thought made her cheeks tinge pink for a moment. What would her parents think of him? Sure, she already had her hunches that Avona, her mother, would be fine with it, but what worried the girl happened to be her father. Maybe she only saw the father side of him and not the side everyone else witnessed. Picking off a corner of her pumpkin bread, she watched a few people amble by with smaller children and it brought a grin to her face. "Hmm?"

This was so unlike the girl that it felt as though it were a dream, but she looked up again at Caitlin a little glassy eyed with a smile. "I say give it two hours and then we meet up again, after that we can switch and meet over at the entrance to Gringotts?" Her voice was quiet as her brain tried to refocus on the fact that they were shopping together and breaking off into groups. "So, Eddie and I will head out here once we're done, from then it'll be two hours and meet back in front of the cafe over there on the corner?"

Eddie grinned down at Cait as he watched her play with his buttons- little fingers easily slipping the big buttons in and out of the holes in his jacket. "I'll be glad to spend Christmas with you too." He said quietly, and gave her a quick, sweet kiss before following her to the table to enjoy their treats. Eddie made sure to grab the seat next to Caitlin's, and even pulled his chair closer so he could sit right next to her and drape his arm along the back of her chair. Today was gonna be a fun day, full of friends and cool wizardy shops- which he couldn't get enough of- but the way everyone was paired up was going to mean very little Cait. This was going to be strange, considering they were still in that honeymoon phase of dating and hadn't left each other's side for more than a hour or so for classes. This being the case, Ed was going to soak up as much Caitlin time as he could before they had to part for the day.

Ed wasn't hungry as of this moment, and took time while the others ate to wrap his bread in a napkin and put it in his bag, saving it for later. He did take his gloves off to enjoy the heat of his tea against his skin, waiting for the beverage to be nearly cool before daring to take a sip. He hated burning his tongue on things, beverages especially, and always gave them at least ten minutes to cool down before even trying to drink them. Of course that often lead to him putting his drink down and wandering off, forgetting about it, and coming back an hour later gross cold tea. It was a burden he had learned to live with.

"Two hours..." He mused out loud, playing with strands of Cait's hair, twirling them through his fingers and then straightening them out again. He loved long hair on women. "Two hours should be enough time, with help." he laughed, admitting to himself that he really had no clue what to get anyone... except for Addie. For some incredibly strange reason, the one person in their friend's group who, seemed to him, would have been the hardest to find presents for came easily. Both her birthday present and her Christmas present were ready to go. Now... if only Cait was so simple. Logic said to him that such a happy-go-lucky girl would enjoy anything he gave her, but his mind was blank with what to give her. Nothing seemed good enough, and he didn't even know where to start looking for something! He was really glad he had four hours today to exchange thoughts with his mates and hopefully figure it out.

"Well, this mug is made for traveling, so I'm ready to head out whenever you are Blue." Ed smiled, knowing it would take them forever if they waited for him to finish his tea. "Sooner we get this over with, sooner I can be back in the castle where it's warm-ish."

Finishing his cocoa quickly, Benji wrapped up the second half of his snack to save for later. It really was a nice day, despite the cold. People bustled around the ally, some with small children and some all alone. He couldn't help but remember the trips he used to take with his mother. The memories brought a smile to his face, it had been so long ago but still made him feel happy. His smile grew as he looked around the table. It almost seemed odd, but the three others had become a kind of family to him. Sure, they had their ups and downs but the group always seemed to pull together in the end. They were an odd bunch but as families went Benji was glad that they were his.

Talk of Christmas vacation came up and Benji realized just how excited he was about it. The boy's Christmas used to consist of opening a mundane and un-creative gift from his father and then hours of reading and studying. Sometimes there would be other students around the castle but mostly it was just him. He was greatly looking forward to spending time with his friends this year. "Are they really gonna try to make it perfect for everyone?" Benji wondered out loud. "Is that even possible?"

"Bank first sounds good to me." He smiled at Cait, "Can't shop without money." Reaching into his pocket Benji jingled the few coins he had with him. "hey uh... Do we have a spending limit?" He had never bought a present for anyone before and didn't know if there was a protocol as to how much one should spend. He gave a small smile, feeling awkward for having to ask. Money was no object to him, and as such he knew that it was easy for him to get carried away when spending it. As he waited for Cait to finish, Benji went over the list of things he needed to buy again. Cait would help him find a gift for Addie, and Eddie could help him find a gift for Cait. Benji didn't know what to get Ed, but was pretty sure he would know what to get once he started looking. The boys were a lot alike so he was confident that shopping for Ed would be easy.

He smiled as Eddie hinted that he wanted to get going, turning his attention to Cait he rose to his feet. "I'm all set to go when you are." Taking his empty cup in his hand he looked to the others. "Can I take anyone's garbage?"
