Regulus couldn't sleep and he couldn't figure out why either. His brain kept telling him that he could be doing other things and he knew full well that he was driving himself crazy. He was stressed out but he wouldn't admit it to anyone not even himself. However, his mind was telling him that he needed to find a way to stop stressing. He couldn't with his parents the way that they were. And then there was his brother whom he missed dearly and yet he couldn't find the words to express such things. He was just a ball of mess and that was not good at all. It would surly come out in other things it just wasn't right. Regulus was not supposed to be paying attention to his inner demons. He was supposed to be pushing them to the side and making it seem that everything was peachy. He couldn't do that though not when his parents invaded his sanctuary and basically grilled into him about having not sent word to them about what his brother was doing. He didn't want to keep tabs on him and he wasn't going too. However, that made his parents unhappy with him and so other things had been added onto his plate this year.
Regulus knew that getting all O's on his OWL's wouldn't be an extremely hard thing but the mere fact that his parents had now told him that anything he did from here on out school work included had to be near perfect as well just made him want to do something rash. He wasn't sure what was keeping him from completely losing it. He aimed to please but when things got too hard how was he supposed too. When he couldn't he'd be down on himself and that just caused a whole mess of other problems. He groaned as he rolled himself out of his bed and stuck on a dark shirt and walked out of his dorm in that and his boxers that he was sleeping in. he didn't rightly care who was going to meet him in the common room. As a matter of fact if anyone had been in there he didn't notice them as he headed out and into the halls of the castle. He knew full well he should not be out of bed right now but he didn't give a care. If he parents found out he would deal with the Howler and the punishment that might come with it later.
He found his way up to the Gryffindor tower area. He wasn't sure why he was there but he didn't rightly care. Maybe his inner most thoughts wanted his brother for comfort or something. He couldn't be too sure he found it hard sometimes to actually give in to his own feelings. He was doing so more this year but it seemed sometimes to be in exact contradiction with everything else. He finally came to a stop and slid down the wall of the corridor that lead up to the Gryffindor Tower. He curled up right there and put his head in his knees trying to take deep breaths and not just completely break apart.
