It was far to early for anyone to be awake. Only those that didn't sleep were awake at this hour of the night or early morning depending on how you saw it. Hosa saw it as night still as the sun was still a few hours from rising anyways. It was somewhere around 3:30 in the morning and she had not been able to sleep. There were so many things going through her head at the moment. She had just met her father, someone she had thought wanted nothing to do with her. That wasn't true at all he was trying so hard at the moment that it caused her to get dizzy just thinking about it. She wished that her mother was here so that she could have comfort that way but she wasn't. No Hosa was still all alone even if there was a man calling himself her father. She was too confused by all of it at the moment. And the fact that she had allowed someone to help her too. Everything the opening night of the Family Visit thing seemed to still be very present in her mind and it wouldn't let her sleep very well or at all. Then again there were the other nightmares that wouldn't let her sleep but that was a completely different story that she really didn't need her brain going into at the moment.

She took a deep breath as she decided to move from her corner to sit next to the wizards chess board. She knew how to play the game but she wouldn't call herself excellent at it. She was no where near as good at chess as she was at dueling or school work but at the moment school work didn't exactly count now did it? She looked at the board for a moment studying it. She was moving the pieces in her mind trying to remember the exact way she had won a game a few weeks back. She usually had perfect recall on a few things but with everything that had been going on her mind was a jumbled mess. She took a deep breath and gave up leaning back in he comfy chair. She looked over at the glowing embers of the fire and started to hum to herself. Her mother's old lullaby usually made things all the better. She was hoping she might get a little sleep but as the night kept passing she was sure she would get none at all which would make it day number two. That wasn't going to be good later on so maybe just maybe she's be able to pass out after classes that day.

She didn't realized anyone coming into the common room as she cracked open a poetry book and began to read. If sleep would not come she would do everything in her power to just keep her body at rest and keep her mind on things that weren't her current situation.

Mikael could not sleep, it was his curse. The damn beds were the worst, he laughed as that brought him back to that day at the lake with Lanta. He smiled. He grabbed his shorts and black hoodie. Grabbed his running shoes and took off down the steps. He slipped out the door of the common room and onto the grounds. He took off on a run, it was the only way he could get himself to fall asleep anymore. It had become tradition ever since his fourth year. He took three laps around the grounds before heading back up the steps. He had no idea what time it was, he really didn’t care. He slipped in the door and was shocked to see someone was awake. Sitting in one of the comfy chairs by the Wizarding Chessboard. He pulled his hood down and slowly walked towards the figure. He could not tell who it was. “Hello?” he was curious who was awake at this time.

He moved a bit closer and could see the outline of a young girl. He had seen her around before, but had no clue what her name was. She was extremely quiet but she always seemed like a sweet girl. He hoped that he wasn’t disrupting anything important. Though he doubted she could be up to very much at…three thirty in the morning, which he now knew thanks to the clock on the nearest wall.

With everything that was going on, it may be nice to spend the night, well morning with a complete stranger. He stood above the chair next to hers, he figured it might be weird if he sat down without at least asking if it would be okay. But he was now close enough to see exactly what she looked like and it freaked him out a bit. She looked so much like Katerina, his sister, his best friend, who was no longer with him. Dying almost six years ago now, she had been a student at Hogwarts at the time. The resembleance wasn’t spot on but it was enough to freak him out in the barely fire lit room.

Hosa was lost in the imagery of one of her poems. It almost made the young girl want to cry because it reminded her of her mother. She shook her head but kept reading the poem until its end. She turned the page and looked up for only a moment and then back down again to read another page. It took her a few moments to realize that there was someone in the room even after that person had said hello. She looked up from her book again and curled herself up in the chair a little more. She wasn't known for talking really. "Hello" she finally said softly back to him. She watched him for a moment and looked up at the clock and sighed. It hadn't been that long since she had come down her in the first place and she wasn't any closer to wanting to sleep or attempt to try again.

"If you want you can sit down" It was a little unnerving to have him standing up. After all it was the time of night where people should be comfortable. She had no idea that she was reminding him of someone that he had once knew. Hosa waited for him to sit down. She made her book go back to its place in her dorm. After all she knew that it would be rude not to give attention to someone that was there infront of her. Sure she didn't talk much but that didn't mean she had to be rude about it either. It was too late to use so much effort.

She uncurled only a little bit and tried to remember his name. She had seen him many times before and though she might not talk to her housemates very often she had an uncanny way of knowing their names and remembering faces. She just couldn't at the moment place a name with the face. It migth have been because it was so late. Then it dawned on her. it was a face she had not seen in awhile. Part of her wanted to ask a question but the other part kept quiet. She would wait for him to say something again.

Mikael waited patiently. He felt like it was hours, he almost starting whistling but it would have just made it more awkward. Maybe. Not sure if it could. Finally she turned her head to him and spoke. He felt a sense of relief roll over him. Well at least she was alive and he wasn’t just seeing things. He saw her curl farther into a ball. Well that was interesting. Should he leave? Or hide?

Then she spoke again. Offering him the seat next to her, okay things were looking up again. “Thanks I appreciate that.” Mikael was known to be overly polite and quite quiet himself, but Atlanta was quickly changing that in him. So if he had to lead this conversation he would. She sat with her book for another moment but then he watched as it flew by him into her dorm. “Impressive. Especially at this time of night, I can barely grip my wand this late.” He laughed to himself. His mind telling him to shut up and that he wasn’t even funny. “I’m sorry I’m not sure I know your name, but I am Mikael. Mikael Erixon….and you are?” he smiled and held out his hand to give her a handshake. She looked like a sweet little girl and the images of Katerina were plaguing him at the moment.

He quickly slid those thoughts aside and put on a great big smile. There was no way he was going to sleep at this point so he was okay with getting to know the young Ravenclaw in front of him.

Hosa was not used to having company this late at night. She was surprised she was still able to not freak out about the fact that someone was talking to her this late at night either. Of course she had been trying to keep herself calm. It seemed to be working too. However, at the moment he spoke again Lilith stirred inside of her and she could hear a groggy voice in the back of her mind. She choose to ignore it. She smiled at him when he sat down next to her. She was trying to be polite and she was wondering if maybe coming out of her shell might be a good thing. She watched him as she sent her book back up to her dorm and another smile came to her face when he called it impressive. Her hair changed to a bright pink for a moment and then went back to its normal color. She wasn't exactly used to praise.

"I'm Hosa....Hosa Trinity." She took a deep breath as his name sank into her mind. She was glad she had a face to put the name too now. "Its a pleasure." She stated moments later. She was not good at all with conversation but she could try. He was smiling at her and she only half wondered why. She looked around them at the fire that was not being tended too by a house elf and then back at him. There was no one else here maybe that was why she was on edge. She was usually not spotted at all later at night so this was new for her. She opened her mouth to speak a few times before words actually came out of it. "W...Why are you...up so...so late?" She managed to stutter out. He didn't need to tell her if he didn't want too but a part of her was curious.

Although after she said it she realized it could be turned to her as well. She wasn't sure she wanted to talk about what was keeping her up. From what she'd just learned to the nightmares it would be a long long story. She was still hoping she didn't pass out later in the middle of class. She was not sitting like a normal person in the chair and was no longer curled up like a ball.
