Hogwarts had been an interesting period for the great Raven Monroe. It had started out as a safe haven for her, away from her mother. But a mixture of narcotics, recreation drugs, and alcohol later, it had turned into the most beautiful mess that anyone could have ever imagined. She hadn’t had very many friends - it was easier to make enemies for the striking red-head, but there had been a few over the years. Aislinn Mackenna had been one of them, at least for the beginning of their Hogwarts career. The girls had struck a chord when they were younger, in their third year. But as time went on, they grew further and further apart. Raven became interested in boys and Aislinn? Well, As was more interested in looking at the stars. It hadn’t ended there; there had been some bad blood between the pair and they had eventually considered themselves rivals. But that was all in the past now, Raven rolled over slightly in her bed, trying not to let the sun touch her delicate eyelids. That’s why this afternoon had been a surprise. An invitation had arrived by owl to Raven’s suite early in the morning. She had still been bundled up in her covers, thinking about the estranged friend, when her owl, Persephone, came flying through the window and landed on her stomach, dropping the letter onto her face.”Jesus bloody fuck, Pers!” Raven yelled, angered that she had been awakened from her beauty sleep. Throwing her hands wildly around before she realized that what lay on her face was indeed a letter. Turning it over and squinting at it, she managed to read her name in beautiful writing. Which, deduction quickly took over and told her mind that it was from a woman. ‘Disappointing.’ The red-head thought with a sigh.Using her finger to slide against the edge of the letter, she pulled it out of the envelope and began hurriedly reading what had been written. It was from Aislinn Mackenna. The woman that she had just been thinking about that morning, ”Well well well,” Rave said, pushing herself up from her position on the bed and staring at the note that cordially invited her to tea, ”How interesting.” There was no way that she was going to pass up an opportunity such as this.Walking down the halls of Hogwarts with a bottle of scotch in her left hand Rave was deep in thought: it was no surprise to Raven that Aislinn had taken the Astronomy position at the school. The real surprise had been that Rave didn’t know about her taking the position. Then again, Ms. Monroe had never really counted Aislinn as someone that she needed to pay attention to after they had their falling out. Stopping in front of one of the trophy cases on the side of the hall, Raven began to fix her hair in the pristine glass, throwing some of her red curls to the other side of her head.It was then that she continued her way to the Astronomy classroom, a strange room on one of the upper floors. It was really just a place for the Professor’s office, seeing as most of the classroom activities were actually held outside. Just the same Raven knocked on the office door, ”Professor Mackenna-” She didn’t bother waiting for the woman to answer, but opened the door with the hand that was not occupied with a bottle of scotch, ”Aislinn, It’s been too long.” She breathed, staring at the desk in front of her.
