”Mornin’ Filch.” Kile McCormack said as he trekked through the castle corridors at 6:23 am. Filch looked up from what he was doing and gave the Hufflepuff boy a cock of his head and a confused expression, ”C’mon mate-” The boy said as he walked directly past him and then turned around so that he could talk to him as he was on his way forward still, ”I do this every morning.” He shrugged his shoulders, knowing that Filch probably should have become accustomed to Kile’s strange antics years ago. Turning around and continuing to walk forward, he could do nothing but smile happily to himself. He rounded the corner into the entrance hall and then made a b-line for the doors to the outside world. It was only when he reached them that he looked up the stairs behind him, to make sure that no one was watching him - for some reason, the boy had a feeling that someone had been staring at him...Just the same, with a shrug and a push forward, Kile was out onto the grounds where he felt most at home.Kile threw his apple up into the air and then caught it with his other hand, smiling as he stepped out into the fresh air of the grounds. He reached up and stretched his arms into the sky, all at once, savoring the feeling of being awake at such an early hour. It was a beautiful November morning, if not a bit chilly. The sun hadn’t risen yet, and that was just the way that young Mr. McCormack liked it. He was an early riser, always had been. But not because he was a morning bird, but because he loved the sunrise. It was his favorite part of the day. The sun peaking over the world to bring a new day; it was a source of such great beauty.Everything was still dark, no trickle of light peaking over the grounds yet and that was how Kile knew that he was right on time. If he had rolled out of bed any later, he would have missed it. Walking across the grounds, he caught a bit of a cold spot and stopped to pull on his Hufflepuff sweater, knowing that Novembers could get quite cold during this time of the season. Finally, he made it to his destination: The Black Lake. Kile sat down and felt instant relaxation flood his bones. The dirty-blonde Hufflepuff boy sat next to the lake, staring out over the pristine waters that were before him, watching as the sunrise took over the sky. It was just beginning, the rich golds peaking over the horizon, starting to taint the sky with rose and purple. Using his left arm to prop himself up, he slid down to his elbow so that he would have a better view of the scene that was starting up before him. ‘Everyone should experience nature like this,’ He thought as he continued to watch the unraveling and breathtaking display of nature in front of him.
