Ezra had originally planned to go back to Ravenclaw tower or perhaps the owlrey, and find something entertaining to do. However..The staircase had different plans. It had apparently chose, mid swing, that it was going to just stop and hang out in between available exits. Sure, Ezra could have gone back the way she came and went somewhere else or chose a different staircase. But instead she stayed on the rouge staircase and entertain herself.
Walking the rest of the way up, right to the edge, Ezra sat down and dangled her feet over the abyss that was the stairwell. From there she could see everyone below her going wherever they were going. periodically she would wave or shout to someone she knew, which warranted her either odd looks or bubbly replies.
Swinging her legs to and fro, she remembered she had a thing of Bertie Botts Beans in her pocket. Pulling them out she rifled through trying to find one that looked like a recognizable flavor. Finding a swirly pink one she popped it in her mouth, thinking it was strawberry or cotton candy. Turned out...it was neither. Instead she was affronted with the pungent flavor of raw salmon. Face scrunching up in disgust she spat it out as fast as she could, sending it sailing at a portrait.
"Oi! Watch what you're doing there, girlie!" It yelled at her before huffing off out of the frame.
"Well. Excuuuuse me." She mocked, rolling her eyes, and redepositing the beans with some distaste.
After quite some time entertaining herself on the stranded staircase, she heard the thumping of feet walking up behind her. She smirked to herself.
"I hope you don't have somewhere to be. This sets a bit out of commission. I think it may be having a bad day, I didn't think it polite to ask though." She said, not turning around, but staring rather interestedly at a few sets of portraits, a finger held up telling her unknown visitor to wait.
Suddenly, the faint clanking of armor could be heard throughout the portaits. Thrusting her wand forward she pointed ahead of her. " I've found you this time Sir Cadogan!" She exclaimed.
"Miss Winchester, thats hardly fair! You haven't been looking, you've been listening!'Tis a knavish plan indeed! You dare cheat the noble Sir Cadogan?"He exclaimed back, drawing his sword.
She withdrew her wand laughing. "And what is a brave knight without their ears about them? I believe that 3-2 in my favour."
"I've no time for this, M'lady! Evils afoot! Get back here you scurvy braggarts!" Sir Cadogan went yelling as he flitted through the portraits down to some very confused looking first years.
Ezra chuckled victoriously and swung her legs up to turn to the mysterious stranger behind her. Standing up, pocketed her wand and held out her hand.
"Ezra Winchester." She introduced with a smile.
