Despite all his faults, he's still a good person beneath it all though the lines between good and bad become blurred to him.

( HISTORY ) : Alex was an only child until Stasja came along. He was spoiled and usually got whatever he wanted, he got away with pretty much everything. As a trouble maker, he became peer pressured into drinking, smoking and doing drugs when he was 15. By the time he graduated, he was a full on addict. During Stasja's stay in St. Petersburg, he admitted himself into a rehab to try to turn his life around. Though evident that he had problems, Stasja never knew anything about it. He hid everything he did from his sister for fear of dissappointing her. She was the most important person in his life and he wanted to be the best brother in the world.
After rehab, he went to attend school to attain a degree in education. While in the University, he met a vampire and learned about their kind. He frequented night clubs and became friends with many vampires and other non-human but humanlike creatures. He began an extensive study on the subject and within two years became a well known expert in the subject. One night he met a woman, a vampire, whom he fell in love with. After a year, he proposed to her and she accepted. Five months before his graduation, she broke his heart and left. He has never seen or heard of her again. Sealing off his heart, he pushed even more to finish school and left the country as fast as he could. He swore off love and threw himself back into drugs and alcohol. He found himself homeless and with no money, his mother and father refused to talk to him. That's when Dumbledore found him and offered him a job as Ghoul Studies Professor for his expertise in non-human/human creatures.
This is his 2nd year teaching at Hogwarts.

Stasja saw Eileen's movements too late. Before she could say another word, her wand was pushed away from the boys face pushing her a little off balance. Her eyes darted to Eileen before quickly look back to the boy.

"Confundo!" she said throwing a spell his way with her wand aimed for his chest.
She refused for the boy to make a fool out of her, he would never hurt him unless he truly pushed her to the edge. But she was going to make him suffer. Everything about him made her blood boil. He was truly irritating, perhaps the most frustrating person she'd ever met in her entire life.

She took a step forward towards Eileen before Eileen could move and snatched her arm, pushing Eileen in front of her just in case the boy decided to cast a spell on her. Stasja wasn't sure if she'd hit him with her Confundus charm, but she wasn't going to take a risk. Her arm reached over Eileen's shoulders as she rested her chin on the other side, leaning against the poor Ravenclaw girl. She let out a wicked laugh, putting Eileen's chin in between her index finger and thumb.

"I do hope your little friend is okay, Eileen," she whispered into Eileen's ears with a snicker.
