Eileen looked down at the ground. She was 15 feet off the ground, her legs dangling in the air as she sat on a broom. It was the only thing holding her up, at any moment she could lose focus and fall. Slowly, she rose and rose and rose higher into the air until her house was the size of her hand. Her mother screamed from below her, telling her to get down, but soon her voice was carried away by the wind. Perhaps it was a bad idea, but she felt the urge to just get up high. To fly, to be free. It was her first time on a broom, she was 7 years old and her father would kill her. But he wasn't there. He had left the night before, storming out of the house after he and her mother got into a fight. Tears started to form in the corners of her eyes. Eileen was so far up, she couldn't breathe. Maybe this was a bad idea.

"Sorry, mommy," she whispered as she slowly came back down below the clouds. A powerful gust of wind pushed her forward and before she knew it, she was lost in a large dark cloud. Not knowing which way was up or down, she leaned forward and tried to just get out. But the wind was blowing too hard and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't hang on to her mother's broom.

Her heart raced, she was panacking and felt as if her heart would jump out of her chest. She was going to die. This was it. 7 years old and she was going to die.
