[/b] Bellatrix spat as she stared at the silent girl that was pressed against the side of the cool walls of the dungeon.
She had heard angry voices. In her mind, angry voices were the source of danger. Angry voices led to angry actions and angry actions were not to be tolerated. Hadley had been near the quidditch suites in the morning, reading the bulletin board that was near the beginning of the hallway when she heard them. Screaming in her room. Violent screaming. She couldn’t understand exactly what they were saying, but she knew more than well the sounds that a dispute produced. Hadley moved forward, her fingertips grazing against the side of the wall as she approached the door to Bellatrix’s suite. Things were continuing to get loud, their voices becoming more and more raised.
It was then that the door flew open and Hadley felt herself involuntarily throw herself against the side of the wall. She pushed her head down, trying to avoid eye-contact with whoever it was as they walked past her. But curiosity got the best of her and she raised her light eyes to stare at the man that had exited Bells’ room. It was Valerian Maxwell - a very angry looking Valerian Maxwell. It was then that she turned toward the door and found herself staring at Bellatrix who was in the doorway, ”What are you looking at, loser?”
Hadley couldn’t answer. She didn’t dare answer. All she could do was stare at the marks that were across Bellatrix’s arms. The bruises that looked like they were fresh. She could practically see the pads of fingers across her body where someone had brutally grabbed her, ”He hurt you.”[/b] She stated matter-of-factly, taking a stride toward Bellatrix and grabbed her wrist with her fingertips. She turned it over in her hand, looking at all the purplish marks that were around her arms.
Bells was stunned when the strange girl grabbed her wrists. So stunned that she couldn’t move for a moment. She had heard tell of the way that Hadley would obsess over girls, and quite frankly, she thought that the young lady was a lesbian. That was the only thing that would explain her frank obsession with other women. The realization of what was going on suddenly dawned on her and she yanked her hands away, taking a step backwards and grabbing the side of her door, ”Get the hell away from me, Greer. And mind your own fucking business.”[/b]
It was then that she slammed the door in Haddie’s face and left her standing there, head cocked slightly to the side in hideous intrigue.

A chill ran down her spine as she saw the man approaching down the hallway. It was too late for him to be out, but perfect for her, especially knowing what he had done to Bellatrix just this morning. She could feel the anxious excitement filling her veins as he came closer, his shoes clicking against the tiled pavement of the corridor’s hallways. Finally, he came close enough and Hadley moved forward slightly so that she could be seen and stop him dead in his tracks.
”You shouldn’t be here.”[/b] Hadley breathed as she stepped out of the shadows, her hands flexing to and fro as she clenched her fists. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do; just like Zeke she knew that Valerian would probably be able to out-duel her, but there was a small part of her that knew that she had the upper hand in that moment. She had the element of surprise and sometimes - the element of surprise was what won the battles, ”Especially after what you did to her.”[/b] Hadley hoped that Valerian would know exactly what she was talking about because she wasn’t in the mood to explain it. Her hands flinched again, clenching themselves in preparation. She wanted to wrap her hands around his neck and strangle him for what he had done to the eldest Black daughter. She had seen the bruises. She knew every word that they had shouted at each other that morning. And she knew that he deserved to be punished. His actions could not go without consequence. No matter the fact that he was far older and far stronger than she was - she had to do what she had to do.
