The event from a few days ago happened to weigh in heavy with Addie. She never intended on lashing out in front of her friends, and in fact that it was Echoes that she stood up against only made things harder. Pulling her hair back in a ponytail, Adeline left the Ravenclaw common room with a book bag in hand. Truth was, she was devastated that her father's book was in the hands of a Slytherin like Integra Echoes.

Swallowing hard she pushed through the entrance and down a few flights of stairs. At first she was tempted to go into the library, but once she heard the noise from within that changed her mind entirely. That was right, everyone was cramming for their mid-term assessments, and in the wake of things the library would be insanely busy, which it was.

Turning on her heel, Addie moved away from the chaos and down a lesser used corridor. She had one more spot in mind that would be perfect to just settle down and read. As she walked a few thoughts came into her mind, mostly about the dance: What was she going to wear? why wasn't anyone exactly interested in her? Who was still available? What would Hestia and Brie say if she asked someone? Would it be fun without a date? To name a few.

Pushing a strand of hair out of her eyes. Adeline wanted nothing more than solitude which was proving harder and harder to find available within the walls of this school. Finally reaching her destination, which was a bench in one of the furthest corridors and she swore no one about be there, but she was wrong.

When her eyes lifted to see if the seat was available she sighed, someone had already the same idea that she did. Get to the furthest point away from everything. Her lips shifted silently as she looked on, her left foot making the move to turn around and walk away something came over her. There was still room, and all she wanted to do was read and maybe later play a little music. Standing in front of the figure she cleared her throat quietly. "Do you mind if I sit with you? All the other places on campus are occupied."

Eden had one of those days where she just wanted to disappear for a while, she was enjoying some reading that she got in a couple days ago from her folks and was enjoying the idea of reading where no one would disturb you or anything. Even the head girl needed a time to break and just let herself relax. Bask in the idea of a wonderful nice kind of silent day with a book in her hand. Since she did all her class work and was just wanting to relax and forget all her trouble sighing sadly thinking about something.

She did not exactly have people she would call best friends, she may have had a few people he may talk to her. But did not know if she had anyone that would watch her back, she had Max sure but he was still a work in progress and did not want to rush things with him. He had been hurt enough in his life, so nice and slow whens the race against the hare. And all in all she did not know who to trust in this world, where there were wolves in sheep's clothing, those working for Riddle.

Sure she had no idea how to show what she knew, there was nothing and not enough evidence any way. But she sensed something was very wrong here, but for now she just sighed. And did not really notice the girl in front of her but stopped hearing, looking up at the girl she smiled at her and nodded. Moving over to the side and went back to reading for maybe a page and stopped, closing her book she looked at her, her face and eyes. "You are Edeline Giovanni are you not?" Eden said in a rather friendly manner.

Once Eden moved her things to the side Addie sat down and cracked open her book. It was nice to know that someone wasn't going to bother her when she was in the zone. Another muggle book was in her hand, this time it was a novel called 'Slaughter House-Five' by Kurt Vonnegut. Her brother shipped it to her, and Adeline couldn't be any happier, since she lost the last book she was working on in the clutches of Integra Echoes. Looking at her brother's handwriting on the cover she smiled. In his own little way he cared.

Getting through the first five pages, Eden spoke up and Addie nodded. "I am, yes, and you're Head Girl for Ravenclaw, Eden Wolf. Thank you so much for letting me read here next to you. The library is in utter chaos and there is no possibly way to get anything done. Seems you and I both have a favorite spot when the weather isn't too amazing." Adeline was pleasant when she needed to be, and when she saw opportunity she took it. Eden was Head-Girl and to get on her bad side could mean trouble for the Giovanni child.

Eden listened to what the girl said and could not help but smile at her and nodded. Sometimes she just wanted to get away from everything, there was nothing wrong with that in the least. And right now she leaned against the wall and had never had the chance to talk to her, so this was the golden opportunity that she wanted and had wanted for a while. She was the kind of girl who was curious but never seemed to ask the more personal questions. Though she could be a little nosy at times, but tries not to be.

"Yes and today is one of those days, just like to curl up with a good book sometimes. So I guess great minds think alike. Which is rather nice, did not think anyone came here to read. And the library always seems to be that way, I remember getting into a fight with Bellatrix in the library. So if something happens she is in there, I turn the other way. Otherwise I may end up slugging her, and of course that is a big no no especially when I am the head girl. Would make me look very bad indeed" She chuckled.

Addie laughed at Eden's statement about decking Bellatrix Black. Oh how Adeline dreamt of just knocking her out on the occasion, her and that Integra girl. "I understand completely, and with midterms going on it's not like you can find peace an quiet anywhere, not even in your own dorm room. It's all sorts of crazy."

Folding the tip of her page down, Addie closed the book to not over work the spine. "I get tired of all of them and how they think that their blood is better than everyone elses. It's not like it really matters. I mean, I'm a pureblood, but it's not like I go around the school flaunting it or telling other people off. It seems all too pointless." Shrugging a little, Adeline leaned back against the bench and looked out at the dreary sky. She would have loved to lounge on the steps, if only it were sunny, but winter was coming fast and it was getting really chilly. "I just don't understand how someone can get so hoity toity about it, they're no better than everyone else. Yea, they come from privleged families, but I do too. Oh well, I guess it's something I'll have to get over. Echoes tried to curse me the other day, but it didn't end too well for her." Addie laughed.

Why she was telling this all to the head-girl was beyond the scope of her mind. Eden could run off and tell the headmaster what it was she did and she could be in serious trouble, but somehow, deep inside, Adeline didn't mind. In fact, the strawberry-blonde was very pleased to tell someone, and how excited she was about it actually scared her. "So, please don't get mad at me, or run off and tattle, but I totally nailed Echoes. I mean full on shin to ribs. I think I managed to break one or two, and it felt so good." Telling her friends was different than telling someone else who had a dislike for a similar Slytherin. Hestia and Brie were there and it felt good, but telling Eden was like telling a whole other person about her feat.

She smiled at her and could not help but laugh at what she said, she really liked Adeline that was for sure. Brushing a strand of black hair out of her eyes she would not turn her in, partly because she was in the same house. But most of the reason was because she felt the same way Adeline did about certain people, then when she went into the blood purity she scrunched up her nose. That annoyed her a lot and was glad someone else was on her side with that, crossing one leg over the other she chuckled.

"Yeah I know how you feel I mean yes I come from money myself, and I am a pure blood. But so what, I mean that does not make you the most powerful witch or wizard. I mean I know for muggleborns certain things maybe more difficult for them, but I sure as hell am not going to damn them for it. This whole thing with Bellatrix really pissed me off, she wanted me to do something to her because she wants to rid me of my post as head girl. But I would not play that bloody game with her.

I mean she even made jokes about my accent, not many people believe my parents are British. Most Slytherins think that I was adopted, so they love calling me Yank but I just let it roll off me. No one has seen my parents but if you had its easy to tell I look more like my mother in the face structure and I have my fathers eyes. I was mostly raised in the states hence the accent but I talk British just without the accent you know. And don't worry about me I would not turn you in.

Partly because your of my house, but mostly because I would have done the same damn thing. You know people can talk to me, just because I hear something I should report does not mean I would report on anyone. Accept Bellatrix and her ilk dunno course Bella did not believe I come from wealth because of what I choose to wear cloak wise. But I did not see the point of rubbing into everyone's face who are not as well off. Dunno maybe I just think to much, but I guess in time we will see what they will do" She smiled.
