There isn't much of a story to tell here. His parents were mostly together for the purpose of an arranged marriage. Of course there were some feelings there, Marilyn and Richard had been acquaintances while in Hogwarts and their parents had been in some of the same social circles at the time of their engagement. They were not "in love" of course, but eventually took a liking to each other an have so far managed to keep a happy house hold based on respect and puritan values.
However, as much of a success story as their's is, The Baxter's agreed it was too much trouble to go worrying about weddings and a strict thumb when little Grayson came along. Their one rule "Act like a pureblood." They do not favor any "side" in the war and have never pushed the subject on either of their children. They do however expect them to stay away from mudbloods and muggles, and even relocated once to be sure Grayson was not growing too fond over a muggle girl.
As for Grayson, he hasn't got a care in the world about blood status. He enjoys people for who they are not what they are made of and ignores most of the "war." Which he doesn't believe exists until he actually sees it for himself, though it makes for great story. All those baddie types are so prone to scandals it's as though they are begging for it. It wasn't until Abigail came along that Grayson cared about a single thing.
The second he saw her, Grayson knew his little sister was going to be his best friend. Much older than the tot, Gray instantly took responsibility in caring for her. (A touching trait that managed to land him Aubrey.) He's loved her ever since and writes to her twice a week as well as sending her candies. Nothing will ever come between him and Abby for she is his absolute best friend.
