( RIDDIKULUS! ) : Chains. Tia is afraid of being tied down for the rest of her life and being brought down by the man. Some people might see her fear as silly, but she is honestly terrified of the very thought of losing the ability to be herself.
( EXPECTO PATRONUM! ) : Hestia’s favorite memory is that of playing Quidditch in the back yard with her older sister Gwenog. The pair have always been close and Tia often ascertains that they were twins born two years apart.
( DEMENTOR'S KISS ) : When the dreams started; they’re a lot of pressure for such a young girl and she doesn’t often understand them or why they are happening to her. She is easily freaked out when the start happening to her during the night.
( MIRROR OF ERISED ) : As cliche as it seems, Tia’s greatest desire is to end the Pure-blood vs. muggleborn elitism that has been going on at Hogwarts. Other than that, she sees herself as a successful modern artist with art in all the modern museums.
( PERSONALITY ) : Hestia Jones has finally realized how to describe herself to others...She’s a hippie. Not in the truest sense of the word, she doesn’t enjoy doing hallucinogens or walking around in bare feet to protest, but she does believe that peace is the answer. She hates confrontation and will do her best to avoid it whenever possible. Hestia believes that she has her own rights to question the authority around her and speak her mind, although she would never do it should there be an actual hard-core confrontation to be had about the matter.

Hes is a free spirit, always doing her own thing despite what others think of her. That is part of the reason that she doesn’t believe in the blood-purity battle that always seems to be constantly roaring from the halls of Hogwarts. She believes that no one has a right to take someone’s happiness away, and she’s not afraid to try and lift the spirits of those who feel weighed down by the burden of the argument. She’s sensitive to others feelings, in fact, she has a knack for knowing what to say at the right time, although it might not always come out that way. She’s more imaginative than she is intelligent, which is rare for a Ravenclaw. She has a fondness for most creative arts, especially music and dancing. She’s extremely honest when people ask for her opinion, and tells it the way that she feels. She doesn’t believe that sugar-coating is necessary because if people ask for something then they obviously want to know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Hestia can come off a little sarcastic to those who don’t know her very well. She has a very dry sense of humor and finds herself often laughing about things that don’t make much sense in her life. Despite the fact that she tries to act like nothing bothers her, Hestia has very strong body image issues. She’s always seen herself as overweight and often hides behind flowy clothing and extravagant dresses to make herself...disappear underneath it all. She’s very impulsive and doesn’t always think her actions through, making her both childish and naive. She doesn’t understand the consequences that come along with the choices that she makes and often finds herself in difficult situations, despite the fact that she really detests confrontation amongst her peers.

The most curious aspect of Hestia’s personality is not, in fact, her hippy ways, but instead the fact that she has the abilities of a seer. From an early age, Hestia found herself experiencing visions of sorts, normally occurring in her dreams. She would experience things happening - very vividly - and months or even years later, she would read about them in the newspaper. Or see them on her parent’s television. It was very curious indeed. She dislikes this characteristic about herself, making her even more self-conscious. She doesn’t speak about it, but often wakes up from dreams in tears or hysterics. People have began to wonder if there’s something wrong with Hestia Jones.

( HAIR ) : In a show of protest against her mother trying to get her to become more lady-like, Hestia chopped off all of her blonde hair and now has a fairly chic pixie cut going on. She thinks that it adds to her persona and she loved her haircut, although it has grown back substantially since then.
( EYES ) : Blue eyes, rather large, giving her a look of innocence. She doesn’t wear make-up, but her eyes have always been a very prominent feature on her face.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Hestia has a rather round face, as if she never quite lost all of her baby fat. She’s a cute girl, and most of her features are what is stereotypically known at ‘cute.’ She doesn’t wear make-up so she likes to let her natural beauty shine through.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : 5’2”, 110 llbs. Hestia is a short girl, but she combats her height with platform shoes.

( HISTORY ) : Hestia was born to Gayle and Charles Jones on May 2nd, 1960. She was a child that was raised to believe that everyone is created equal, and she carried that with her from the beginning of her days as a Jones child. She got along with her sister Gwenog from the moment that the pair of them were old enough to play together and they often played Quidditch in their back yard to pass the time during the summer months.

From an early age, Hestia found herself experiencing visions of sorts, normally occurring in her dreams. She would experience things happening - very vividly - and months or even years later, she would read about them in the newspaper. Or see them on her parent’s television. It was very curious indeed. She dislikes this characteristic about herself, making her even more self-conscious. She doesn’t speak about it, but often wakes up from dreams in tears or hysterics. At first, her parents assumed that Tia was just having bad dreams and nightmares, but seeing as they continued every year beginning at age 5, Her parents sought the consult of their family friends to see if they were perhaps missing something about their daughter. Their friends offered up the idea that Hestia may have been a Seer. Although it was never confirmed, The Jones’ firmly believe that Hestia has the Inner-Eye.

Hogwarts has been an eye-opening experience for Tia. She came into school thinking that everyone would get along just as nicely as they seemed to before they arrived, but as soon as the sorting hat started to separate them into their respective houses, she saw the changes. It was then that she realized that people should be able to be who they were without refutation from other members of society. Since then, she has really been pushing herself to be accepting of everyone, even those that she finds a little strange - seeing as she’s a little strange herself - because it is in her nature. She doesn’t excel at her classes and prefers to spend the school hours lounging outside or talking to anyone who will listen to her.

Gwenog, two years older than Hestia, has cast a shadow that feels overwhelmingly large over Hestia. Sometimes she feels as if everyone knows her because of her sister’s adapt Quidditch ability. Just the same, she’s too afraid to really step out of her comfort zone and make a name for herself. Tia aspires to become an artist when she gets out of school but her parents think that she would do well working for the ministry. She hasn’t given much thought to an alternative career path, but she figures there’s no harm in taking as many NEWT level courses as possible...even if she doesn’t do her best in them, she enjoys the challenge.
