I just wanna Break the rules |
Tobias was generally considered to be an academic. From time to time, people could see him running around the pitch. He tended to try to find himself there when no one else was around. When he wouldn’t have to worry about whether or not someone was going to shoot a curse or a jinx at him while he wasn’t paying attention, he ran his best. It might be slightly ridiculous, but he knew how rivalries tended to go. He knew, from the amount of networking that his family had done as a child, which families would help him achieve his means and which ones would likely ruin him. This late at night, after curfew, he knew how quiet it would be. Even as he counted numbers in his head to keep a steady pace, there was a sort of silence that the numbers wouldn’t really allow to go away. To some, the silence could have been mistaken as a pang of loneliness, but the brunette had long since grown accustomed to that sort of thing. He had gotten sick of the constant chatter of his common room, and the silence that spoke volumes in his dorm. He normally reserved these sort of runs for the morning, but he’d found that he had needed something to do to keep his mind occupied. He studied language and law. As enthusiastic as he might be for the Slytherin team to win against the other teams, he would never volunteer to join the team. He liked his feet on the ground. There was no point in having dreams if those dreams inevitably got people into trouble. Those who believed in their dreams without a solid plan to make it a reality tended to get them shattered and destroyed. It wasn’t that he was automatically dismissing anyone who had a dream; he wasn’t that cruel. He just dismissed the people who so idiotically did so without looking into the future and setting a plan. He was very much aware of everything that was going on around them in the outside world. Tobias was aware of the danger of his way of thinking, but he hadn’t let anything stop him from his plans. It wasn’t likely that everything would be finished by the time that he graduated Hogwarts. He wasn’t imprudent. He outlined. And, in the event that things weren’t as precise as he wanted them to be, he prepared for what he could. His legs rounded another curve with the steady beat he had going in his head, “Eins, zwei, drei; Éna, dýo, tría; One, two, three. Eins, zwei, drei; Éna, dýo, tría; One, two, three.” He allowed himself to slow down, lowering himself from the sprint that he was working out. Deciding that he had finished for the night, Tobias ran a hand through his sweaty hair with a slight frown. At least he knew, if he made it back to the castle without getting caught, that there would be no one keeping him out of the showers. There might have been a curfew for being out and about in the castle and throughout the grounds, but no one said anything once people were inside of the dorms. He longed for the days where he could apparate. None of it would matter while he was at Hogwarts, but it was the easiest mode of transportation. He found himself pausing right before he left the pitch. There was nothing that was forcing Tobias to go back up the castle immediately. Chances were that the prefects and professors were patrolling the area carefully now while the curfew had just started whereas, if he waited a moment, it would decrease the amount of people who would be looking for him. Besides, out here, there were a couple of places to duck behind in the event that someone did show. The shadows would keep him out of sight, and he would see the light of someone’s wanding far before someone saw him. tagged: open! words: 664 outfit: outfit notes: Except, you know, the outfit has trainers not sandals, lol. |
