Friday couldn’t have come a moment sooner for the red-headed reporter. After a week of slaving over a column that provided almost zero-return, she needed a serious break. The weekend would do her good, she would be able to relax with Rian, romp around, maybe even go out a few times. They were young, they were ready to take on the world...Together. With all the wedding stress, it was a miracle that the pair of them had managed to keep it together this long. But - she supposed - that was what being in love felt like, “Rian?” Raven called into his flat where she had been spending most of her time, trying to unhook her keys from the door, “Babe, I’m home early!” Finally she managed to get them out and pushed the door shut behind her. She knew Rian had gone in for training today but she had expected that he would have already returned. A few feet into the entrance way, Raven found herself running into a fair amount of boxes. Those certainly hadn’t been there this morning, had they? She reached down and pulled open the top, but it was hard to see in the dimly lit hallway. Maybe they were the wedding invitations - those were set to arrive in a few days time.
The light was on in the kitchen and Raven headed in that direction, anxious to see Rian. There was something so calming about him - something that instantly put her feelings at ease, “Sugar, why don’t you answer when I call you, seriously, sometimes it’s like talking to-” When she stepped into the kitchen she found herself face to face with a very curious thing indeed. Rian himself was not home - but instead, a young girl sat at the island counter, chowing down on her mocha chip gelato. The container that she had just purchased. Her favorite gelato.
?The purse that had been draped on her forearm suddenly fell from her body and hit the floor with a muffled clink. Obviously the ink-well had been on the bottom of the bag, “Rian-” She yelled into the darkness behind her, “One of your crazy fans has broken into the flat again-” She let her hazel eyes rest back on the girl as she tried to figure out why she wasn’t moving. Was she really that delusional that she thought Raven was going to let her stay and eat her gelato? God dammit, was he really not home?
Stunned was perhaps the word that she would use to explain how she was feeling right now. How could someone just waltz into Rian’s flat and help themselves to the gelato in the freezer! This was ridiculous. This...thing was getting written up in her next column: Crazed Fan breaks into Pro-Quidditch Players Flat, Eats all Angry/Stressed Out Fiance’s Gelato, “Excuse me.” She breathed, the dangerous anger thick in her normally sultry voice, “But, what do you think you are doing?” Raven managed to break herself out of her stunned state and grabbed the tub of gelato from the girl, holding it close to her heart as she stared her down.TAG; @keiraNOTES; let the games begin ;]
