Raven Monroe’s black heels clicked against the paved sidewalk of the park as she walked next to the wedding planner. He was a short Austrian man - one of the most lavish that worked in the country and he had planned Valerian and Astrid Maxwell’s wedding all those years ago (Of course, that had been named the most lavish ceremony in the century and if Raven ever hoped to top that and land her and Rian’s absolutely gorgeous faces on the cover of Witch Weekly, they were going to need all the help that they could get).
“You’ve got an excellent eye for style, Ms. Monroe. I dare say,” The planner cooed. Raven looked up from the piece of parchment that she had been mulling over on her clipboard and smiled.
“Thank you sugar, I know.” She winked and then went back to staring at the piece of paper that detailed the different venues that the planner had picked out. Parks, churches, everything that they could think of across the country, none of them really living up to the expectations that Raven had. This wedding was going to be huge - just like Rian’s fame, just like her own. There were going to be people there from all over the world. Celebrities, Quidditch Stars, politicians, there was no room for seating errors, “I’m thinking a giant tent for the reception - keep everyone under there, serve dinner?” Her hazel eyes wandered over to the edge of the park which looked like the perfect place for her idea - but perhaps it was a bit too small. She needed a second opinion.
“It would look really good right here, don’t you think, Rian?” Raven turned around, looking for her fiancé who was supposed to be trailing behind them as they toured the park. But he was no where to be seen. Sighing loudly, the red-head made it no secret that this was an annoyance that she didn’t want to deal with right now. They were supposed to be planning the biggest wedding this Wizarding World had ever seen and Rian kept running off!
“I thought you knew, Ms. Monroe - he left about fifteen minutes ago!” The wedding planner chirped and Raven shot him a look.
“You stay here, I’ll go find him.” And with that, she marched off in the direction of the main street, hoping that she would run into her darling fiancé so she could give him a piece of her mind.
She saw him sitting on a bench a few feet outside the entrance to the park, “Rian.” She marched in his direction, the black heels moving against the uneven pavement and creating a misbalance in her footing. This venue would never work - this whole wedding was turning out to be a hell of a lot more than she had bargained for, “We’re-” She motioned between the two of them, “Supposed to be mapping this venue. What could you possibly be doing right now that is more important?”tag; RIAN SAMUEL LEWISnotes; for both of our nerves. <3
